Re: Opening and closing multiple QuickReference panels

I just tried the Documents/Open/as QuickReference for my Document References, and it only opened the first reference in the list. This also appears to be the case with Project References. The spacebar and menu options both work as expected if I open multiple documents from the binder, though! Thanks...

Re: Corkboard question

Double-clicking the little document icon in the upper-lefthand corner of the card should move you into the document view mode. (Just make sure the cursor is over the document icon—if it's on the title, then double-clicking will give you the option to change the title, rather than taking you to the d...

Re: Choose Your Own Adventure

I haven't written much CYOA (just a couple of chapters for a collaborative project that I also helped to edit, in Google Docs, so you can imagine how much fun that was). I saw your post yesterday, though, and I've been thinking about how I might approach this. I apologize in advance if I'm giving yo...

Re: To Wrist-Rest or Not to Wrist-Rest

I would say try the wrist-rest, and see if it agrees with you. I find that if I use it much, the edge of the MacBook starts pressing into the underside of my wrists, which hurts, as does the increased angle of my wrists. I do much better if I keep my wrists fairly straight, and in line with my forea...

Opening and closing multiple QuickReference panels

Good morning! I've finally discovered the utility of Document References and QuickReference panels (seriously, it's changed my entire workflow), but I'm having trouble figuring out how to open and close multiple panels. I know I should be able to select multiple references, hit the space bar, and se...

Re: A project-specific dictionary

"Ignore Spelling" should do that for you on Mac - it tells OS X not to flag that word in the current document (and it seems to treat a Scrivener project as a single document). I think it also works that way on Windows.

Re: Blue underline- Autocorrect?

I've noticed the same thing since updating to Mavericks - I think it's actually an OS X issue. You can turn it off in Scrivener, though, by going into Preferences/Corrections, and unchecking "Correct spelling errors as you type." Uncheck it. You can turn it off system-wide by going to Syst...

Re: Append selection with backlink

I just dug this up in a search to see if it was possible to do this. I'm envisioning something like Katherine's suggestion here http://literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=25096 : Another option might be the "Append Selection to Document" tool, available from the Edit menu ...

Re: Integration of Scrivener with Pocket?

I use Pocket in both Chrome and Safari - it's got very shiny extensions for both browsers. rick, I don't use Pocket, because apparently it doesn't work with either Chrome or Safari. I played with this a little bit this afternoon; you can add pocket links to Scrivener just as you would links to any o...

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 3: With a Vengeance

Here in the States we mostly have living rooms. Sometimes we also have family rooms or tv rooms or rec rooms or rumpus rooms, but those tend to be rooms beyond the living room, where you can send the kids when they're too sticky or obnoxious to be tolerated in the living room. We also have the Inter...

Someone needs to get eaten by a shark.

Or a saltwater crocodile.

The Man in the Suit was the Man Not Appearing in My Chapter. I was so disappointed, I nearly stuck somebody else in a suit just so everyone could tell him how nice it was.

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 3: With a Vengeance

The "this has been done, don't talk about it" sounds like a good idea... although mine was blank so I didn't get to see its effect.

I talked about it. But only briefly. I blame the scones.

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 3: With a Vengeance

I would just like everyone to know that I have spelled "scene" as "scone" three times already.

This is why I don't outline.
