Word Count Question

Hi, I seem to be having the opposite problem than the one being discussed here: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=21882&p=145851&hilit=word+count#p145851 Basically, my word count seems to count EVERYTHING, including notes, research, and scenes that have been ta...

Re: Character and Location tracking in Scenes

Sorry to resurrect something that's over a year old, but I think this feature is still on my wish list - something that integrates the character and place linking, and the keyword linking (If this has already been addressed, and I haven't figured it out, please forgive me. I've been using Scrivener ...

Re: Side Panes (Meta-data, synopses, document notes)

Aaaand, as usual, as soon as I decide to ask about it, I find the answer.

Sorry about the bother!

Side Panes (Meta-data, synopses,document notes)

Hi, this might be a silly question - I scanned the forums for an answer but didn't find anything - but I could have sworn there was a way to toggle these panes on the right. It hasn't been an issue in the past, but I'm trying to have Scrivener tiled with an annotated PDF to help me edit, and I'd lik...

Re: Problem with new install of Scrivener

And Scrivener lives again! I was getting a little worried since I'd never run into that problem before. (Which is probably because I'd had just about every update imaginable already last time I installed Scrivener.)

Thanks so much!

Problem with new install of Scrivener

I recently just got myself a new computer, and I've been spending today getting my programs back on it. It says that Scrivener is successfully installed, and brings up the readme screen, but when I try to open the program, I get this error: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v642/magycmyste/scrivener...

Re: blank page after chapter titles

hmmm, with those settings, I'm getting chapter titles with an empty line before, and the text of the chapter starting immediately on the next line. Like this: text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text C...

Re: blank page after chapter titles

Hmmmm, tried that. I don't think it worked for me. But I don't have any footnotes, I think, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. My current settings for the compile separators are: text:text--> Custom (#) folder:folder-->Empty Line folder:text-->Empty Line text:folder-->Empty line (wi...

blank page after chapter titles

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I'm again missing something, but when I compile my ms, I would like for each new chapter to start on a new page. Looking over the separator options, it seems like the ideal way to do this is to use a page break for folder documents (since that's how I'm organizing...

Re: Chapter Numbering

I realize this is an older topic, but it's exactly what I was looking for and I feel like I'm missing something obvious. Where do you check the box to include titles in compile? I've looked in compile and the general settings, and can't find it at all! EDIT: Of course, as soon as I post the question...

Re: Question about the autosave feature

Ah well, at least I know now. :) It doesn't entirely answer the issue with the other program, since it's specifically excluding the files from the sync, not saying that the file hasn't changed (it has separate sections for new files, deleted files, changed files, unchanged files, questionable files ...

Question about the autosave feature

Hi, I wanted to confirm whether autosave files were saved in folders based on time (the version saved at 9:00pm is in a folder, and the version autosaved at 9:10 is in a folder, up to a certain number of versions), or based on the data (Chapter 14 and 15 are being saved every five minutes to the sam...
