Re: Legal Pad background for the Main Editor

I played with the option for a lined paper background for 2.0 but ultimately rejected it (although the option will be available for the notes area). It's fine if you're using just one font, but if you have different sized text, it just doesn't look good at all. I don’t know how they are doing it, b...

Re: How to indent (potentially stupid question)

Did you try to set the rulers in Scrivener Preferences -> Text Editing?

At the top are Default Main Text Attributes, where you may set rulers for paragraphs.

Re: Scribbler™ for iPhone -- Early Look

I got an iPod touch some weeks ago and try to wait patiently the release of Scribbler. Any news, Wizlord? Maybe a public beta, if something like this is possible on the iPhone/iPod touch? Yes, I had a look at your website, Scribbler looks very promising, I would love to spend some money for it. Keep...

Re: Selected text word count..?

It would be extremely useful if I could select a block of text and have the live word count reflect that selection rather than the whole document. So, have I missed something here, or is a selected text word count feature missing..? Select the text -> ctrl click over the selection, the pop up windo...

Re: add files from research folder to draft

If you drag the image from the Editor to the Document Notes, you will be able to drag and drop it from there to the Binder's Draft section. It will create a new text file with the image inside, or you may copy and paste it into a Draft's text file.

Re: BackTrack

I thought BackTrack 5 could be useful for Scriveners searching a possibility to track and trace the different versions of a text. On the BackTrack site you may read: BackTrack brings Mac users a new level of safety by logging all text that is typed for all applications. The log includes the applicat...

BackTrack

BackTrack is Today's MacUpdate Promo. Does anybody know the application and would share her/his experiences?

Re: Attempt to backup locks up Scrivener

With no progress bar or other indication that the app and drive are working, it is possible it's not a true crash. However, whatever is happening absorbs all the memory of the system for several minutes, even making it impossible to click the Apple icon to try to escape. I have left it running over...

I could not open the FAQ. I got an error message.

I'm using Scrivener 1.50.

Happy New Year from Austria. Vienna is still sleeping, no servant robots or chimney sweepers to see. Too cold for them?

Hmm. I just want to enter the time anywhere in my text. You may install WordService, Freeware from Devon Technologies. http://www.devon-technologies.com/products/freeware/services.html Using this service you can enter timestamps (with or without date, you have several choices) in any text with a ke...

Re: Is It Just Me?

If it is not yet in your toolbar, you may use Scrivener's Menue Bar -> View -> Customize Toolbar (you find it at the bootom of the window). From there drag the Hihglight-item into you toolbar and click 'Done'. I'm using Scrivener 1.12 beta, maybe this item was not yet available in 1.11. If so, you f...

MacJournal?

I'm not blogging, so I can't tell you about my experience. I got it with the recent MacUpdate Pomo Bundle. They call it 'Mac journaling and blog software'.
