Re: Close Project vs. Close Program

So it does.

I suppose I was expecting that hitting the red x on the (only) project open would trigger a close program instead of a close project.

Re: Close Project vs. Close Program

To summarize my issue in case the discussion of different approaches to the general problem has muddied the waters: I want the 'New project' window to pop up when I close a project, so that I can either start a new one or open another one. I do not want the 'New Project' Window to pop up when I exit...

Re: Close Project vs. Close Program

Not really Jayson. I'm not suggesting Scrivener stay open at all times, I'm differentiating between closing a document (project) and closing the program. Like I said, there's a lot of different solutions to this problem. For example, in Microsoft Word, each document opens as a separate window. Even ...

Close Project vs. Close Program

Scrivener exhibits some (IMO, obviously) less than ideal behavior regarding closing projects and closing the program itself. These are especially apparent when working with more than one Project (consecutively). My issue: I finish my work on a project and go to close the project and then open up ano...

Minor detail in About Scrivener menu popup

The scrolling text window in the Help->About Scrivener popup is editable. I don't know that this is a bug per se, but thought I'd mention it anyways.

My novel's currently at ~105,000 words System Specs: ⋅ Windows 7 Home Premium x64 ⋅ 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM processor 2.0 GHz ⋅ 8 GB RAM Let me know if you need more specific specs. I've noticed that the compiling popup (when doing the project statistics) ...

Re: BETA 046 RELEASED

If 045 is the special NaNo trial, which functions until Dec 7th, why does this beta (046) expire on Nov 7th? I'm doing NaNo this year so I won't be buying a Scriv license until after...

Re: Scrivener 1st -> 7th cut off date:

Also, there's a special NaNo trial version available: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/nanowrimo.php It's operational from the moment you install it until December 7th, so if you're concerned the installation of the final version will possibly go wrong and muck up your NaNoWriMo timing, just use th...

Re: (Beta 035) Novel Manuscript Format compile, too many lines

I know you're having some other issues changing the font too, though, that I haven't been able to reproduce yet, so that's probably related. Well my face is red. I hadn't really mucked about with the compile settings previously (as I'm focusing on writing, not formatting), so my issues with the fon...

Re: (Beta 035) Novel Manuscript Format compile, too many lines

The whole chapter business isn't really a problem; I was just expecting the page padding and assumed (prior to the posting of the detailed change log) that its absence may be a bug as well. That said, that's all separate from the .pdf compile issues. You've mentioned that the font-size is a fraction...

Re: (Beta 035) Novel Manuscript Format compile, too many lines

Couldn't figure out how to edit my last post so I'll just note it here: Now that the changelog is live I can see that the page padding bit is done on purpose (my chapter folders are marked format as is). I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and switch my chapters from the oldschool 'chapter <$W>', f...

Re: (Beta 035) Novel Manuscript Format compile, too many lines

using the wrong size, some smaller percentage of the size given in the settings I believe there's more to it than this; like I said in my post, attempting to choose different fonts and or sizes in the dialogue has zero effect for me. The compile to .pdf looks the same no matter what I choose. Also,...

Re: (Beta 035) Novel Manuscript Format compile, too many lines

I can confirm this behavior. When compiling to .pdf, using standard Novel format, there are 33 lines per page. The font appears smaller than it should be. It compiles with courier new, even though in the expanded dialogue it shows "MS Shell Dlg 2" as the default font, 10 point. Furthermore...

Re: 29 crashing on opening docs

Don't know if this is "the" fix to the problem but I had the same issue with the constant crashing. I read in the release notice that someone who had "read" the readme file first didn't have the problem. So I uninstalled. Let the readme file open, clicked ok, and now it no longe...
