Re: Spellcheck, spellcheck, spellcheck on 64 bit?

Ah, very good... that library get's me so that the spellchecking runs and detects, which is a great start. On my machine (Ubuntu 64bit) it won't correct those words when choosing from the list, but that's a small price to pay. Just to loop back on this... I was right and wrong above. It runs, and i...

Re: AMERICANS! Please help...

Yeah, never heard of Dulax... made me think of Exlax, which is a laxative :-)

Anyway, Glidden is probably a safe bet, at least in my world.

Best Android workflow

Yes, I know there isn't a plan for an Android version anytime soon... not getting into that. I normally use Scrivener on Linux, thus posting here, but use the Windows version at times. Looking to see if anybody has any suggested ways to work an Android tablet/phone into your workflow. Basic "ad...

Re: Tech Head Question

DHCP for any "user level" device... if you really need to have the IP's fixed, lock them via MAC address leases and the like, but usually not important.

Servers get fixed addresses in a specific range (10-50) or whatever.

Always plan for growth :-)

Just my opinion.

Re: 1.5.0.9 Beta Released - LATEST

I had that error... regretfully, I'm not sure I remember how I fixed it.

I believe (and that's a dim memory :-)) that it had to do with not having the 32bit libraries installed... are you on 64bit?

Cursor color

I'm running the 1.5.0.8 beta in Windows 7 (in a Virtual machine, although I don't expect that to matter, but who knows). Anyway, I prefer a darker background, so have the colors modified in a scheme I've used for a while. I had saved the settings and imported them into this load (worked like a champ...

Re: Compile menu

Indeed, the user manual even has this illustration, which makes sense to me , but then again I made it. Any feedback on what would make this confusing would be appreciated: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum_images/12334080-compile-formatting-example1.png Just my 2 cents, but I think this coul...

[1.5.0.5] Bug - Annotation shortcut[LOGGED]

Windows 7, 64 bit.

Using the CTRL-SHIFT-A shortcut, it never seems to work for me the first time. I can hit it again and it works.

Hadn't noticed this in the previous production release, so thought I would mention it.

Thanks,
Bruce

Re: Software Recommendation

I'm not sure if you have looked at the plain text todotxt world, but might be of interest. I like that I can use some of the various apps, that work pretty well, but also can just use any old text editor that I happen to like. Keep the file in Dropbox and you're synced across all your devices. http:...

Re: Using Scrivener with Dropbox

Here's the info from the README on that app, if it helps... Bruce How does Scrivener work with Textilus? You can sync your Scrivener documents with Textilus using the Dropbox cloud service: 1. You need to install Dropbox and have a Dropbox account in your computer. 2. Tap the "Link with Scriven...

Re: dot matrix printer

I just bought that exact Brother printer... haven't used it much, but so far, so good.

Setup on a Mac, Windows and Linux machine was reasonably painless, although if you are going to use the wireless, the first setup needs to be with a USB cable in most circumstances.

I thought this article had an interesting take on where the author see's Apple's Sandboxing and Mac Store strategy taking them (nowhere good, in his opinion):

Yep, same here. Win 7, 64bit, installed "over" the previous beta version.
