Re: Devonthink Pro half price

What a pity it's mac-only.

Re: Urgent Keyboard Recommendations Solicited!

I was googling for an ergonomic keyboard and I bumped into this thing. The explanation why it's ergonomic (keeping your hands in natural position) sounds plausible. You have to be able to touch-type ofcourse.

Re: The ultimate writing machine?

Maybe you have to put the notebook in a vertical position when connected to the external unit. I can't imagine why however.

BTW: What means POS

Re: The ultimate writing machine?

Sony finally revealed a photo of their new ultramobile that pigfender mentioned. I quite like it, however I wonder what the rubber (?) thingies are for on the backside of the lid.

Re: Scrivener Freeze on first attempt

Wacom pen and mouse (Intuos 2) both work fine with Scrivener on my laptop. I have installed it recently with the newest drivers from the Wacom website.

Re: beta 2.2 and 2.3 starting very slow on XP

With my 7 year old notebook it takes 15-20 seconds to launch and get to the little box.

Re: [0.21] disappearing text using footnote

I created a new project from scratch and it didn't happen.
The other project was a text I copied and pasted from Word.

[0.21] disappearing text using footnote

When I hit footnote all the text in the editor disappears/ becomes invisible. As soon as I start typing the footnote, the text in the editor reappears. So the text hasn't been deleted, but it's invisible.
Compiling the footnotes works well now.

Re: Footnotes

As I have to use footnotes a lot, it's the first thing I check when a new beta version has been released. It seems they didn't address this bug yet. I hope the final version will have a bugfree footnote option, otherwise it's pretty useless for me.

Re: Da Nu McBook Pro'sezes

Only the highend 15' and the 17' got a better graphics card. The low-end 15' GPU is worse than the 2010 series. It doesn't matter ofcourse if you don't use it.
I'm a bit disappointed the 13' didn't get the 1440x900 screen like the MBA, that would be very nice.

Re: 8th FEB - LEE'S UPDATE

I'm very excited for the final version. It's great to hear that footnotes will be scrivener 2.0 mac style. Right now, compiling text with footnotes doesn't work properly, so in my case the beta is 'useless' for real work at the moment. But i'm looking forward for the final version in a couple of wee...
