Re: LEE'S UPDATE - BETA 025 RELEASED

Hey Lee and crew, Thanks for the great work on the update. I downloaded it as soon as I saw it was available, and installed it over 024. No problems so far 8) Since you have added menus and other content, I have noticed one thing that might be changed simply for convenience: The way it stands right ...

Re: help!

As of today, this very afternoon, right this minute, I am wondering why I am doing this to myself. What demented demon inspired me to think I could write -- that I’m smart enough, eloquent enough, brave enough to do this? All this lostness makes my real job (which is competitive, mean and nasty) se...

A suggestion for the "learned words" list

I looked for a “wish list” thread, this is the closest I could find. :) I wanted to make some suggestions about the user defined dictionaries/word lists/spellcheck lists (not sure which is the correct term). I will try to be brief, but I tend to get a little wordy when I am trying to make sure I am ...

Re: Isn't this Word add-in a total Scrivener rip off?

I used to work for WordPerfect before they sold themselves to Novell (and Novell broke them up and sold off the parts). We had a gripe with MS for this sort of thing. In my opinion MS is very good at riping off. . . ah imitating other people. We weren't the only company to have this gripe with them,...

Re: Known Bugs for Beta 024

So Beta 025 isn't available yet, correct? (just checking, Scrivener still says it is all up to date when I click "check for update")

Re: Known Bugs for Beta 024

I can make Scrivener (Beta 024) hang on start up. Here is the link to the post I just made: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=13289
I hope this helps, Lunarclipper.

I can make Scrivener hang on startup

Ok, I think I may have found the cause of some of the cases reported of Scrivener hanging on start up. I did this on an HP Pavilion G7 running Windows 7 Home Premium, Version 6.1, Build 7600 (but I am pretty sure it will work on any computer and in Windows XP as well, I will explain in a minute) Thi...

Re: Known Bugs for Beta 024

This is more of a point for consistency than a bug:

(I hope this is how to post a link to my other post, I saw no other option.) Thanks, Lunarcipper

A point for consistency

This is not really a bug, more of an inconsistency. In the novel format, the default label for the "scene" document is "scene". The default label for the "Chapter" folder, on the other hand, is "no label". For consistency, the default label for the "Chapt...

Edit needed in the "Novel Format" document

In Beta 024: In the Novel template, the first document, "Novel Format", that explains how to use the template contains the following text: "Create a new folder for each chapter and title each folder with the name of the chapter. If you don’t intend to use chapter names, just enter use...

Re: 30th APRIL - LEE'S UPDATE

P.S. Well wishes to the newly wed Royal couple. Come on, own up, I know you all watched it too. I didn't watch it, but then I don't have TV right now. I am sure I will be able to watch it on the net sometime soon. Best wishes to the Royal couple! And thanks for all your hard work Lee and crew! :D -...

Re: Not sure if it is a bug, but...[ADDRESSED]

There's a difference, though, in that those different documents are opening within the one window. In Scrivener, you have separate project windows, with all the documents and whatnot pertaining to that project opening within the window. So different projects aren't quite like different documents--t...

Re: Character templates[NOTED]

I'm assuming this is a bug...I can't use the character templates. When I'm in the character folder and go to "Project" there's no option of "New from Template". . . . I have never used the Mac version, so I don't know what the character templates can do on the Mac. In the window...
