Re: Lion: First Impressions

I installed Lion on Monday night. My first impression was that I didn't like the distribution method. My Early 2011 MacBook Pro would sit there and say "Lion -- Waiting' and do nothing, I fired up the App Store on the C2D Mid 2007 Mini and I was downloading instantly... Never did figure that on...

Re: Scrivener + MacBook Air = ♥

I think this MBP is a little bit slower at doing things with Lion on it, but I could just be imagining things... One thing that does bother me is that the process for the kernel will use upwards of 3/4ths of a gig of RAM on it's own in 64 bit mode, in comparison, my Mini that runs in 32 bit mode use...

Re: Scrivener + MacBook Air = ♥

Hey AmberV!

Have you upgraded that tiny portable of yours to Lion yet? Kinda wondering how Scrivener looks on that screen in full screen mode. I keep using it on my 13" MBP after I upgraded last night...

Re: Scrivener + MacBook Air = ♥

Then my only issue will be trying to keep certain files in sync on all three of my Macs... Chapter 13, section 6. :) And iCloud for the rest. :D Need to bring the existing two machines up to Lion first, but that will probably occur before I get an Air... Wish I could get a Cinema display and an Air...

Then my only issue will be trying to keep certain files in sync on all three of my Macs... Chapter 13, section 6. :) Actually, I already use SugarSync for that... (At least a few folders, like the one that contains all of my writing...) I tried to use DropBox, but at the time it's support for bundl...

Re: Complie question

Ok. This makes sense now.

Although, logic still suggests that when you check a folder (or document) that has subdocuments the child documents should automatically be selected. (But maybe this is only my own logic and not the logic of others :))

Re: Scrivener + MacBook Air = ♥

I took a trip after work to the Apple Store in town to see the refreshed, Mid '11 Airs. Now that the back lit keyboard is back, I will probably be picking one up to use when I head back to school this fall. The 2.3 pound 11" Air would be so much nicer than the 4.5 pound 13" MacBook Pro tha...

Re: Complie question

I have tried the setting with 'included documents', 'excluded documents' and finally 'all' I'm not sure if this is something inherent to 2.1 or not, but, These settings: Screen shot 2011-07-29 at 2.17.32 PM.png Yield this result in an RTF export: Screen shot 2011-07-29 at 2.18.24 PM.png Although, I ...

Complie question

Ok, I understand that the compile process is one of the beauties of Scrivener, but sometimes it can be downright confusing... What I have is this: Screen shot 2011-07-29 at 2.07.02 AM.png Which as I understand it should compile the contests of the folder 'Confessions' into one HTML file. What I am g...

Re: Scrivener + MacBook Air = ♥

Actually if you were to go buy an Air now, you would probably get the back lit keyboard. They brought it back if the current generation... That was one thing I was waiting on before going back to get a new Air to replace the one I took back for my MBP (The back lit keyboard is one of those little th...

Re: What Does Your Workspace Look Like?

My desk is a little cluttered... But that's what I get for running two computers at any given time...

I mainly use the MacBook for everything, there is a Mini that is outside the frame that the monitor, keyboard and trackball are attached to...

Re: Post your Scrivener screenshots here!

Looking at this thread, for the 'I'm not sure how manyeth time' I see a lot of features that I've never touched in my writing... I have at least four projects that I'm actively working on, including the one that is eating my time as it's for Camp NaNoWriMo. This is only the second work where I've cr...

Re: Odd spacing issue...

Doh... I always forget about that feature... Now if only I would've kept the .plist file for Scrivener...

Thank you.

Josh

Odd spacing issue...

My MacBook was having some insomnia issues, and after a visit to the Genius Bar, I reinstalled my Snow Leopard last night. I opened my current writing project, to discover that my line spacing (which appears to match via settings) is off... I'm not sure how to fix it and it's one of those things tha...

No worries.

Thanks for all the hard work!
