Re: 1.7 Font size in Research Project Notes

Very small for me too. I assume this has to do with the dpi change discussed in the zoom thread. Probably just needs to have a larger default font size. Which actually raises another question -- is there a way to change font for notes anywhere? Seems like it should be a tab in the options but I coul...

Re: 24TH FEB - LEE'S UPDATE - BETA 1.8 IS HERE

I have also reversed the logic for the CTRL+mouse scroll zoom. Forward zooms in and backwards zooms out. Yes, that was also a problem, but I'm having a different issue. (Actually, I'm surprised nobody has reported it yet, maybe it's only me...) On a long text, 'Ctrl+mouse down' will first scroll do...

Re: USER POLL - WHAT SHOULD DEFAULT ZOOM BE?

Umm... can't the app check the screen size and resolution and render the display so when zoom is set to 100%, an inch is an inch? This sounds about right... In other apps like Word and Acrobat, the default zoom level is usually what fits the entire width of the text on the screen, The zoom in Scriv...

Re: 24TH FEB - LEE'S UPDATE - BETA 1.7 IS HERE

Great work!

I am also having a zoom issue, though not exactly the same as others are describing. The CTRL + Mouse scroll isn't working right for me. CTRL + scroll up is zooming out, when in most programs this is zoom in. And CTRL + scroll down doesn't do anything at all.

I've got Windows 7, for what it's worth.

Chapter 14 bug

Just compiled a novel and noticed a minor bug. The novel template, as you know, automatically numbers chapters upon compile. Well, Chapter Fourteen came out as "Chapter Foreteen." I imagine this is a pretty easy fix, but thought I'd point it out.

Trash suggestion

I like the concept of the Trash folder -- It can hurt to deleting things permanently, especially when it's a full scene or chapter that one has decided to rewrite. So I like the fact that the Trash folder essentially is a folder of outtakes that I can look back and perhaps laugh at later. The only p...

Re: Compile problems (1.6)[ADDITIONAL INFO]

I should have noticed this before, but it seems to be doing that 7-page break thing I mentioned above between every chapter (i.e. folder in Scrivener).

Drag and Drop Text?

Sorry if this one has been mentioned before, but would it be possible to implement the capability to drag and drop highlighted text in the editor? This is something you can do in MS Word and out of habit I keep trying to do it in Scrivener to no avail. This would make editing my writing much easier ...

Re: Compile problems (1.6)

Last one for now (hopefully), to do with compling with the "override formatting" box checked. I used the novel template, which puts a chapter title above the text of each chapter. The chapter heading looks like this: Chapter # Title of Chapter But when I check the override button and compi...

I agree with the comments to change the check box setting to retain rather than override.

Re: Select All?

Hi Amber,

That sounds like a suitable solution, and glad to hear it will be added soon. I would not mind being able to select a bunch of items in a menu and applying the new settings. I'm just looking to avoid going into each item one by one, hitting select all, and updating the font.

Thanks!

Re: Compile problems (1.6)

One other thing I noticed. When doing a PDF, the "converting" status bar never seems to get far past 20% before finishing up. The document looks OK, but why did it stop at 20?

Compile problems (1.6)[ADDITIONAL INFO]

I just tried compiling to a .doc file and got the error "May require MS Word to be installed." I definitely have MS Word installed... the latest version for Windows, in fact. I get the same error when trying to compile to .docx.

Help?
