Re: Word count bug

Thanks for that! I checked my compile setting and some of the boxes were not ticked, so I did an alt-click to select all of them and hit save. When I checked Project Statistics again, the word count was up to the right number.

Word count bug

The word count that comes up in Project Statistics is not correct in the project I'm working on. It claims I have 28,249 words so far, but when I go to Project Targets, it pulls up the correct number (59,913). If I click Manuscript in the binder and open Scrivenings view, the word count at the botto...

Re: Zooming issue

Whoops just realized I posted this in the wrong forum! Meant to put in the Windows bugs forum. Sorry!

Zooming issue

This one is kind of like the other bug I just posted, in that there is a difference in behavior when a text document is selected in the binder versus a folder. When a folder (chapter) is selected in the binder, zooming does not work. The ruler changes size but the text doesn't actually get bigger or...

Ruler in full screen

Think I've found a bug in full-screen mode. The ruler at the top appears if you're doing full screen on a text document in the binder, but not so if you have selected a folder (ie you are trying to view an entire chapter in full-screen mode). When I do this, the ruler goes mostly invisible except fo...

Great to hear. Yeah, before this update I kept going to thesaurus.com and it was breaking my flow.

Re: 1.7.3.0 Released - 20th Aug 2014

The addition of define and especially synonym is most welcome! Just one thing -- at first I couldn't find it because I was highlighting the word and then right clicking -- if you do this, these are not in the context menu. This is how I usually do it in Word, so I was confused at first.

Re: First paragraph indentation

Thanks. It would be a useful feature to have if it can be added in a future release. For now I'll just use the ruler on individual paragraphs.

First paragraph indentation

I am trying to set up Scrivener so that there is no indentation for the first paragraph of a chapter or section, but there is indentation for the paragraphs that follow. This is how it looks in most books. Is there a way to do this automatically? I checked out the Editor tab of Options but it seems ...

Re: Scrivener 2 for Windows?

I don't use the Evernote web app much -- I find the Windows application to be pretty solid. I also use the Android apps -- nice to be able to jot down notes when I'm out and about and see them later on the computer.

Re: Scrivener 2 for Windows?

For web clipping, I use Evernote. In fact, I use Evernote to keep track of all my notes and ideas regarding my novel rather than Scrivener. Scrivener is still vital for the actual structuring and writing of the book of course! Actually, now that I mention it, it would be cool to see some kind of par...

Re: Surface or iPad

Yes, have heard the same about RT. But the Surface Pro has full Windows 8 Pro, running on Intel.

In my opinion, RT is not the way to go for this very reason!

Surface or iPad

Hi all, I have been using the Windows version of Scrivener since it was in beta and am loving it. I'm now considering a tablet or hybrid for writing on the go and was curious if anyone is using Scrivener on a Microsoft Surface Pro or similarly small-screened device, and how well it works in that con...
