No, "midnight" is a label assigned to the 00:00 hour starting the new day, just like "noon" is a label assigned to the 12:00 hour in mid-day.

Re: Who want a Linux release version?

Personally, I'd think that with the massive slow-motion train wreck otherwise known as Windows 10, that L & L would be more seriously looking to the alternate Linux universe. It's not difficult to compile for the major Linux distributions. Mozilla Firefox is an outstanding example. I love how a...

Re: More flexible Customize Toolbar

We do not have nearly the budget to create the hundreds of icons that would be required to make that possible, to the standards of quality we are comfortable with. We critique each icon individually and sometimes go over several revisions with the designer, that may seem excessive but that is just ...

Re: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, fix high DPI problem!

We are aware of the scaling issues, but the current framework simply does not have the support for the high dpi; there's no slap-on fix for this. The next major version of Scrivener will have a newer framework and we are working to ensure its scalability. The manifest fix provided in the linked thr...

As is right and proper. I prefer software that works.

Re: Adding Strikethrough to Format Bar?

Yes it is! I use strikethrough quite a lot when collaborating with others using Word. So I have added strikethrough to the standard Formatting toolbar. In Word you select View - Toolbars - Customize toolbars and menus, and then it's just drag-and-drop. Anything available in the menus can be added t...

Re: Simple countdown timer

There are several apps that claim that their strength is "distraction free writing environment". Adding a timer that is constantly visible, and even makes sounds, seems like the opposite. One woman's distraction is another woman's focus. Adding a feature does not mean one must use it. How...

I don't want to rain on your parade, but (unless I have slipped a gear somewhere) I guess someone should point out that devinganger is another user like you (and me) and not part of the Lit & Lat team. He is supporting your case for a timer feature, but is not in a position to speak for the dev...

Re: URLs inside Notes do not always open when clicked

In Windows 10, Edge becomes your default browser unless you tell Windows otherwise during the install. However, IE is still on the system (as well as any other third-party browsers that you installed). Have you tried changing the default browser, restarting Scrivener, and see if the problem goes awa...

I also do Courier New. I like the typewriter-esque look, and I like not having to install additional fonts on systems.

Re: Make the Board "TapaTalk" aware?

I dont' know that anyone cares, but Cisco actually use IOS (internet operating system) for the name of their firmware for routes and switches back in the late 1990 and early 2000. I wonder how Apple got away with using it. They still use it to this day. Apple licenses the use of the iOS trademark f...

Re: Simple countdown timer

Reading through this thread, I've become convinced a clock built-in to Scrivener would actually be cool. Yes, the OS may give some of the desired functionality, or you may get it in third-party apps, but I can think of two reasons to do it within Scriv: 1) Portability. Have the same consistent timer...
