You, like me, probably ran the auto-updater *after* L&L sorted out the swapped files.

Keyboard shortcuts are not button clicks, which is what the OP asked for.

Function keys are button clicks. Can't they can be the shortcuts?

Are they on the main toolbar, Bob?

except SirPixel was not rude Well, coming on here for the express purpose of pimping someone else's software in the wrong forum is an inherently rude action, no matter how polite his wording may have been (and the "I'm not here to debate" is a huge red flag.) No matter how much you frost ...

Longtime lurker here. I made an account solely to reply to your question. And promptly posted in the wrong forum, The Software & Development forum (which explicitly permits the discussion of all software, as opposed to this forum which is for feedback on Scrivener for Windows, not competitive p...

Re: Making an index?

I'm asking this question early in the project so that if there is something that can be done I don't have to retroactively go back and insert lots of keywords or notes or what have you. No, there is no automated feature to create an index. In my experience in the technical publishing field, index c...

Re: rounded corners background color in binder

Well, who knows, maybe the design team will give scrivWin3 a nice curvy touch to balance the squareness, like they did with the index cards. As far as I know, they are trying to make it look as close to Scrivener 3 on Mac as much as possible -- so if the Mac version doesn't have the curves, the cha...

Re: Brought files over from old Mac to new, can’t open ANY scrivener files

OMG...never mind, it was a syncing issue! I re-synced my files, and it all reappeared exactly as it should have. OneDrive had said “up to date,” but it clearly wasn’t. Sigh. Also make sure that you have OneDrive set to keep 100% of your Scrivener project file copies on the local computer. Ne...

Windows users should consider themselves lucky someone is interested in developing something for them Oh, don’t worry, we who are not the ordained of the Church of Apple bow and scrape at the altar of St. Jobs every day and do penance for our sins, aware of how unworthy we are and how fortunate and...

Re: [RC18 BUG?] Special Characters in Scratchpad Notes' Titles

As a British Boomer, I think I have the right to point out that # is not and never has been a "pound sign"! The "pound sign" is £ ! Indeed. And it’s not a hashtag, it’s a hash — hence the practice of using it to tag people or subjects becoming called hash tagging. It’s properly ...

Re: Cost of Windows 3 version

But it's probably not an answer that someone who paid money for the product years ago would be entirely satisfied with. I don't get why some people seem to find that so surprising. When one pays money for software, one is purchasing the software at its given state — there is no guarantee of future ...

Whatever your copy source is, then, is explicitly coloring the background white. Use Paste and Match Style to work around this whole issue.

Just out of curiosity, what happens when you use Ctrl-Shift-V (Paste and Match Style) instead of normal Paste?

Re: Chapter Numbering Placeholder Confusion

Do you know where I can download the Scrivener 3 for Windows beta? I'm currently on 1.9.something - ah! 1.9.16.0, the stoneage version. Go to this thread to download the most current beta, which at the time of this writing is RC18: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=4...
