Re: Scapple for iOS

Would like to add my voice to the calls for Scapple for iOS. I've started using Scrapple for early outlining of a novel – the POV jumps back and forth between two different viewpoints on the same timeline. I found Scapple's visual approach is a huge help in keeping track of this. I plan to go back t...

IOS – visibility of active doc in binder

I use coloured labels in the ios binder, full width. I often can't tell which doc is the active doc in the binder because the highlight colour is nearly identical to the one of the label colours. In a future update, it would be great if ther was a way of differentiating the active doc beyond just a ...

Re: Export as Zip crashes Scrivener iOS

I can confirm that I also get this bug on ipad air ios 10, but not iPhone 6 ios 10.
As an obvious work around I just male sure dropbox is synced and then export as zip from the phone.

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

spankybus, as I recall from various posts from Keith, I think there is no scrivenings feature planned on the iOS version 1.X release and no snapshots (less confident I'm right about snapshots though).

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

Thanks for the update Keith. Feel your pain. Hope you don't have to blow too much on development costs (app development agencies aren't cheap!). If it's any consolation, there are sure to be lots of people (myself included) that will do their bit to spread the word (and sales) when it does finally l...

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

Yes Tricia,
Love Scrivener. Big fan of the developers. Just excited. Scrivener for iOS arrives when it arrives. No pressure intended. I'm just interested in how software development works and enjoy the updates.

I can't wait to pay for my next upgrade. And the next and the next...
The thought of Scrivener grinding to a halt because the developer can't afford to continue sends a chill down my spine.

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

I have an ageing MacBook Pro with scrivener. When out and about and travelling light I use an iPad with parallels access. I have several other apps that allow me to access my Mac remotely but only parallels access gets close to full usability IMO. I have a good, fast wifi connection at home but have...

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

Keep the faith Keith. Scrivener has been a life-changing app for me. Seriously. I live in it. Circumstances mean I'm writing on an iPad a lot at the moment so excited at thought of iOS app. AS A BONUS. You've done a great thing for writers bringing Scrivener into the world. Please don't lose heart. ...

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

From their site, currently £13.99 per year in UK. I've got a 2 year subscription. Got some discount as I also use their desktop software. There's a free trial so you can see if it's worth it for you.

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

And with parallels access you can access / use your mac or PC from a web browser. I leave my Mac at home now and hop between scrivener on iPad and scrivener in a web browser. That said, can't wait for iOS version! BTW, parallels access is subscription service and you can find offers around. Not chea...

Re: Index Card 4 - Corkboard Writing App for iPad

As a temporary solution (before Scrivener for iOS arrives) I'm using Parallels Access. It's expensive (subscription service) but I already use it to access other apps from my laptop on my iPad – so thought I'd give it a go with Scrivener. It works very well. The Parallels Access app is cleverly desi...

Re: Index Card 4 - Corkboard Writing App for iPad

I bought index card 4 thinking I could "sync". I've abandoned index card for iOS now as it is very much a one way process if you use formatting. Useful if you start a project in index card and want to export to .scriv to continue in Scrivener. Not good if you want to hop back and forwards ...
