Re: Windows Defender SmartScreen

If you read my post, I installed the software and reported the issue to Microsoft. We are all doing what we can to improve all the software we use.

I think we should leave each of us choose our own browsers.

Best wishes

Windows Defender SmartScreen

Windows Defender SmartScreen identifies the current 64-bit beta as unsafe and the download is blocked. Clearing the block allows the exe file to be downloaded, but the install is blocked. Clearing that requires the user to click on further information, and from there to authorise the install. I have...

Re: Zotero troubles: dragging in reference does no longer work

Hi,

I have just done this using the latest release of Zotero and the current beta of Scrivener for Windows 3 and it works fine. I have both dragged and dropped and pasted using (the Zotero) Control Shift A and C.

Re: Windows 10 on ARM

Hi, It is not my main laptop, but I bought it because of its extended battery life and always connected functionality. Think lpad Pro with a pen and keyboard and you will not be far wrong accept that it runs x86 applications. For writing, I've used Word, Jarte and now Scrivener. It works fine and is...

Windows 10 on ARM

As this is likely to become an increasingly used configuration in view of the Surface event announcement last week. - 64 bit version installs but does not run. Mostly 64 bit applications decline to install. The failure to run was an expected outcome. - 32 bit warns that you are about to install on a...

Install & use on windows tablet

With all the current activity in relation to tablets, I thought I would report on the experience of installing and using Scrivener on Windows tablets. Machines, Lenovo MIIX 10, Windows 10 Home Dell Venue Pro 11Windows 10 Pro. Scrivener 1.9 and 1.95 Both have the ability to be used through supplied k...

Re: OPML for Windows Version

Pity about the priority rating as this is a feature which makes me covert the Mac version. Scrivener for Windows and the absence of OneNote on the Mac has so far enabled me to avoid the temptation to bite the Apple.

Re: 29 crashing on opening docs

Hi, Environment Windows XP Pro fully patched. I think this might be, in part, a template issue. With a project already open, creating a new project using the Blank template causes Scrivener to crash. Inspecting the file directory the files and the settings folders are created but nothing else. With ...

026 Cut and paste Tables loss of structure and data

In the following scenario, (on XP Pro fully patched) 1) Three column, 4 row, populated table. 2) Top cell left side and the cell beneath it merged for a title. 3) Middle cell top and and top cell right merged for title In cutting and pasting the table pastes as a two column table and loses all data ...

Re: Installation Issue with Beta 026 prevents launching

I've just done a 026 install over 025 on an XP Pro machine fully patched. Aside from the problem, reported elsewhere, that the installer tried to install in My Documents, everything went fine. It might be worth checking where the installs are if two copies are installed. XP Pro will in some circumst...

Thanks for this. It's certainly something I'll look at once I get a 'modern' tablet.

It's good to see that I'm not alone in needing a pen to think.

Re: 0.25 Remapped keyboard

I settled down to sort this problem this morning having been working on other machines during the week, and it's cleared itself :D. I suspect a setting was lost on restarting the program (I had been playing around with the kb short cuts) but who knows.
