Re: Wish List

this is kind of an odd one.. I'd like to be able to make index cards "pop" or stand out, maybe color code according to the status, not just the label. for example... I currently have a project with over 60 index cards. (in corkboard view, of course) nearly all of them have a status assigne...

Re: False Report of Project File open on another machine

I use dropbox to access the file on two computers, I used to, when in beta, get that, or a similar message regularly. Basically any time I'd forgotten to close on one computer before opening on the other. I didn't get it at all in 1.0, 1.1 or 1.2. but I'm getting it again in 1.3. I've never lost inf...

Re: Just updated to 1.0.2 and now Scrivener won't start

after the update I was unable to launch scrivener at all. Not by clicking the icon or by opening the project file in my folder. No error message, it would just not come up.

I am running Win 7 64 bit, only an admin acct so installed and tried to run on admin acct.

Re: Just updated to 1.0.2 and now Scrivener won't start

Just wanted to say I had this problem too... I did a fresh install of 1.01 after it came out, (uninstalled old verisons, reinstalled,) and when I updated to 1.02 via the in system updater it wouldn't restart.
I downloaded from the product page and reinstalled and it works fine.

1.01 and Dropbox inconsistancy

during the beta phase every time I opened scrivener on one computer and then tried to open the same project on another (file saved to dropbox) I got a box that popped up and told me that the file was already open on another computer, and that opening it again may cause problems. Since I registered a...

Re: "Incompatible with this version of Scrivener"? help

Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou the version.txt file was empty, completely. Putting 16 in and saving it worked, the file opened normally again. now off to do an immediate back up, I'd gotten lax at that, and you can bet I won't be doin...

"Incompatible with this version of Scrivener"? help

I have a project, I've been working on for quite a while, I was in it last night, and this morning, on my netbook, I closed everything down, and restarted the netbook and now I'm getting this error on both the netbook and the desktop. Both are running Beta 035, and have been since the day it was rel...

Re: LEE'S UPDATE - BETA 035 RELEASED

Being able to compile directly to doc is quite nice, though, and would be worth a beer, if people involved were closer. I feel certain that if you have the right connections, you can ship beer internationally. Just sayin'. On Lee's behalf, thank you! no need to ship internationally, just ord...

026 compile to PDF

this is an odd one.
I have settings set to not override formatting, and my main text set to New Times Roman, regular. but when I compile to PDF it bolds all my NTR text. The cover page which is in San Serif, is not bolded.

Re: Compile to Word

All right, it looks like something happened with the compile formatting code so that overriding the formatting will give you this, unless you set the right indent to about 4.4" or less (somewhere on the ruler in the sample). Melessa, when you did the compile that worked, did you have the "...

Re: Compile to Word

autoupdater didn't recognize a newer version so I downloaded and installed, didn't bother to uninstall first though.

Re: Scrivener for license

Yes since I a bit technologically inept I would also like to know whether updating a beta version of software loses previous work! Thanks so much for your reply :D I've never had it do so, however, it's a good idea to back up your work (there's a backup command) before upgradeing. I did have one ve...
