Doc Title in Editor has gone tiny

If there's a way in Options to control the type size of the editor's Document Title, I confess I can't find it.

Search Menubar yields too many results from Navigate > Quick Reference

Greetings - I was searching for the rarely-needed "Lock in Place" command on Search Menubar, and the search term "lock" yielded about 25 entries from Quick Reference, doc titles with Locke and block and clock. But not my desired command. The search apparently reads the menu left ...

2.9.0.11 Can't drag Bookmarks into a new Collection

Hi - Sorry, I was about to report this for Beta 10, but then Beta 11 was released, same anomaly. We're at least sometimes unable to drag Bookmarks into the body of a new, empty Collection. To test in the Tutorial, try dragging some Binder items to Project References, and from there into the existing...

Navigate: Quick Reference handles accelerator keys in doc names, Go To doesn't.

Hi - There's an inconsistency in how the Beta responds to accelerator keys in doc names under keyboard navigation. It recognizes them in the Quick Reference flyout menu, but not in the very similar Go To menu. We can create an accelerator key by placing an ampersand in a document name in front of th...

Re: 2.9.0.10 Inline Annotation does not turn off

I'm encountering this problem also; inline annotation is a roach motel. Sure we can copy the contents out into Notepad and back in again; but does anyone know a command-based method to convert an inline annotation back to formatted, unannotated document text?

Re: Print Preview Not Functioning

Yep, and it's not just the preview; document printing itself is busted.

Document printing is all blank (outline printing is OK)

[LH3277] Document printing is all blank (outline printing is OK)

Somehow I'm getting nothing but blank pages when attempting to print a single document in Beta 2.9.0.10. Blank pages are shown as well on Print Preview. This behavior is irrespective of print settings and print devices. Even printing to Microsoft Print to PDF generates a blank PDF doc. Here's my pri...

First release of Scrivener for Windows - Eight years ago today

Congratulations on eight great years!!

viewtopic.php?f=31&t=8601&start=15

Thanks to the team, and especially to Keith and Lee. I'll always live in Scrivener, because it's not just a writing tool. It's a supreme infokeeper.

Cheers -- Jerome

Re: Bug: Conflict between character and paragraph style

Yep, I had a similar experience when writing a routine to convert Scrivener-inflected RTF to HTML. Though they're masked in Scriv's editor, styling tags such as <$Scr_Ps::0 > are part of the document's visible text as shown in any other RTF editor or viewer. Thus they're subject to character formatt...

Re: Highlighting Web Pages

I kind of glossed over that, but yes, the Mac can do the same thing, including rendering (but not editing) plain-text .html files. Underneath the GUI, there's a full Unix-like environment (based on a core of the BSD operating system), complete with an Apache web server, command-line editors, PERL, ...

Re: Highlighting Web Pages

Is this what people (or the OP) would normally mean by "annotate"? Editing the raw source code underlying the file format? You can do all that on a Mac, but if someone's asking for Scrivener to allow you to select text in Scrivener's editor and highlight it in yellow or green, that's a bi...

Re: Highlighting Web Pages

Hmm, on the PC Scrivener can import and view plain old HTML files as well as the self-contained WebArchive documents. The user can modify the HTML in any visual HTML editor or in Notepad. Viewed within Scrivener, the HTML can redirect to any other HTML doc in the user's file system or on the web, ad...

>Still I am curious to know an exact use case which helps you using Aspose from command line, Jerome which cannot be achieved using Scrivener itself. Hi Tiho My “compile” enables me to keep a huge Scrivener docbase viewable on an Android phone. It is based on the Scriv 1 model of maintaining documen...

Re: Command line RTF->HTML converter Aspose.exe -- how to get it working?

Thanks, Tiho. I do understand this limitation with regard to aspose.exe as such. But I think it's fair to say that the rtf docs we're maintaining are far more Scrivener-inflected than in prior versions. No third party tool will make a clean conversion anyway. Hence the wish for more granular access ...

Re: Command line RTF->HTML converter Aspose.exe -- how to get it working?

Hi Tiho -- It's via command line: aspose.exe [path]content.rtf [path]content.html HTML I hope Scriv will support command line use of this executable. My intention is to put it in an AutoHotkey script, my own compiler, as there will never be a way to achieve my desired presentation with Scriv's nativ...
