Bug Beta 18: Keyboard navigation Alt+Shift+Up for Previous Document doesn't work

Hi - The Navigate menu version of Go To Previous Document works properly, but the keyboard shortcut Alt+Shift+Up does not. If we hold down Alt and Shift and try each of the four arrow keys, we'll see the expected navigation on three of them but stasis on Alt+Shift+Up. Cheers - Jerome Version: 2.9.0....

Re: Beta 18: installs and runs very nicely, just...

Thanks to Team Scrivener for the latest Beta and for keeping the faith. Whoever said there wouldn't be a Scrivener for Windows V2. It'll be two years in the fall, I enjoy these regular releases and the transparent process of which we are a part. Just feel bad that the WV3 project has been accruing c...

Re: Beta 17: Project Bookmarks No Longer Move

The developers have this on the fix list. They've been adding capabilities to the Bookmarks drop handler in recent betas, and may have impeded some bookmark-to-bookmark operations in the process.

Re: Ability to specify individual research items in Binder open as Quick Reference by default

Good idea. I run an AutoHotkey script atop Scrivener with shortcut buttons for a few key documents, each to be opened in its particular way. Left pane, right pane, Quick Ref, Outline view, Scroll to Top, and one with an immediate Reveal in Binder. For most documents, the default opening is fine. But...

[Bug] Outliner view retains its selection on subsequent visit, autonavigates in other pane, sets wrong inspector

Greetings -- Suppose we open a folder in outline view with "Automatically open selection in other editor". We've selected an item in the outline, and it opens in the other pane. Then we navigate elsewhere in both editors. Then we return to that outline view folder. Under certain conditions...

Bookmarks Inspector -- collapse vs. toggle

I notice in the Mac manual that the Bookmarks Inspector can only toggle between Document and Project Bookmarks, while the other inspectors use a triangular expand/collapse control to enable their grouped panes to share the space. Inspectorpanes.png Wouldn't this be a worthy enhancement for Bookmarks...

Re: Project notes and document notes

Re the notes panel at the bottom of the inspector. Will there be an option to switch between document notes and project notes in the new Windows version? There will not be, because Project Notes have no formal existence in the new version. They've been rendered obsolete by Quick Reference Panels an...

Re: [LH3594] Copied text is not RTF

Beta 17 is obviously capturing the margin information, but is not discarding the right margin value to allow text to be displayed full width in the editor. Version 1.9 discards the right margin, but keeps the right margin offsets, so that offset paragraphs remain in place. The only workaround appea...

Re: External link full protocol?

Found 'em. If anyone else needs this info, it's in the Scriv for Mac manual, naturally. Pages 220-221. https://www.literatureandlatte.com/learn-and-support/user-guides Appending "&view=split" to the UUID does exactly what I was hoping; it opens the requested binder item in the current ...

[LH3607] [Bug Beta 17] Open Document Link in Other Editor opens it in Current editor when current is default

Hi -- If we have our option set to "Open clicked Scrivener Links in > Current Editor" a Scrivener Link will open in the current editor even if we attempt to open it in the other editor via context menu. (The context menu works as expected for Quick Reference, and when our default is set to...

External link full protocol?

Greetings Team Scrivener The external link protocol x-scrivener-item:// is working splendidly in Beta 17. I seem to recall there is a parameter to specify whether we want the link to open in the current editor, other editor, or Quick Reference. Hope this isn't my imagination. The specs were in the Re...

Re: beta after May 15th?

What issue are you seeing with this that I am missing? Please clarify, as I'm sincerely curious about what people are concerned about. :) I'd note that for the past few releases, the Scriv beta has been on an informal tick-tock cycle, where the odd-numbered releases add more capabilities and introd...

Re: Dragging / importing weblinks doesn't seem to work...

Working OK for me in 2.9.0.16. I dragged this page from the address field token in Firefox into the Binder. And I dragged a couple of links from the page as well. In each case, Scriv generates a static MHT file (which takes a little time) and displays it properly.

[Suggestion] Open in Other Copyholder

Could we also have an "Open in Other Copyholder" on the context menu? Possibly redundant when opening from the binder, but it would be most handy when opening from a corkboard, outliner or Scrivener Link.

Re: Can't Export Files

Reminds of an old bug that may be related. Exported filenames are truncated to their first period or full stop, and the duplicated filenames thus generated silently overwrite their predecessors. So if our selections for export are "A.A Milne", "A.A.U.W", and "A. First Princi...
