Re: [LH4757] RC4 - Scrivener HTML clipboard not recognized in Chromium-based browsers. Plain text only.

Not being able to reliably paste formatted text into the default system browser does not give good optics for the perception of Scrivener for Windows 3.0 being a reliable, stable release. Devin, I have to agree. Scrivener is superbly well thought out and suitable, as designed by a writer, not a pro...

Re: Pasting from Scrivener Editor to Gmail or other email compose windows

It's almost certainly this bug, reported in April with full technical explanation and reiterated in my Location info with each post since then. No response to date, so I'm glad someone else has encountered it: Scrivener HTML clipboard not recognized in Chromium-based browsers. Plain text only. The S...

Re: Why is this word flagged as misspelled?

Scrivener recognizes the soft hyphen in word wraps, adhering here to my missyllabification: inconvenient.png But Scriv also has a setting View > Text Editing > Show Invisibles . It's set on in the graphic above, though a bit obscured by my theme, and it doesn't show the . If there's some wa...

Re: Why is this word flagged as misspelled?

A "soft hyphen" in the pasted word can have this effect. To test this, enter the word in Notepad, then somewhere within it hold down "alt" and type 0173 on the numeric keypad. A hyphen will show in the Notepad rendition; when we paste to Scrivener the hyphen will vanish but the s...

Re: Import several linked htmls

Can v3 (beta) import those htmls as native to the scriv project (i.e making copies of them in scriv. folder, as opposed to just importing shortcuts) while retaining the interlinked references? No, not a chance. HTMLs imported directly into the Scrivener V3 project take a filename chosen by Scrivene...

Re: Import several linked htmls

I have several HTMLs that have hyperlinks pointing to each other. How do I import those to Scrivener's Research Binder while preserving the hyperlinks please? I have thousands of the same. In Scriv V.3, now in late beta, we can use Import > Research Files as Shortcuts to arrange and tag these files...

Re: Invisible "down arrow" carets in Binder in Ocean theme + How to change default font in Notes text box?

No fix to propose for the arrow icons in the Ocean theme, but I have a sense of where the problem lives. If we save the theme to a file, we create one with extension .scrtheme . It's a zip file that can be opened with 7Zip, so that the files within can be edited. Among them is a file with extension ...

Re: (beta 10) Project and document bookmarks

Yep, this one has been on the docket for quite a while. It's actually the first bug I check on with each new beta release. [LH4210] B30 Regression on dragging / rearranging external bookmarks Semi-related, the dedicated Project Bookmarks control on the Projects menu is in need of attention as well. ...

[LH4719] RC10 Crash on missing shortcut file in clicked bookmark

Hi - A Shortcut document with a missing .LNK shortcut file is shown with a warning in the editor pane. That same document causes a crash of RC10 if double-clicked in Bookmarks. CrashOnMissingTargetInBookmark1.png I'll certainly acknowledge that the document state itself was a consequence of an unsup...

Re: How customize these user interface elements' colors?

Anyone know the secret society handshake to disregard Base on the Binder indent? For the next person going down this road -- applying a theme, modifying the binder color via Options > Appearance and getting unsatisfactory results -- disabling the following line in the .QSS file prevents the theme c...

Re: Has Windows Version 3 Been Scrapped?

Next time L&L decides to make an updated version, don’t tell anyone. If you release a Mac version 4 and someone asks "will there be a Win version 4 as well?", answer No. I'm actually gonna miss the beta phase when 3.0 finally ships: the incremental enhancements, the input it permits i...

Re: BUG RC10: Default formatting control: icon bar truncation misses line spacing

Hi - Well 1) seems OK. We can test Use Current by changing the typeface to Comic Sans, for example. Use Current will revert it. 2) Yeah, the continuation icon behaviors are not fully developed. For Text Color there's a working flyout control. For Highlight Color there's a placeholder. For Line Spaci...

Re: How customize these user interface elements' colors?

OK, a question for fellow theme warriors. I like my Scriv UI in shades of silver and grey to combat eye strain. Extracting the palette file (extension .pal) from the zipped theme file (extension .scrtheme) I can achieve the desired effect by modifying Base to (170, 170, 170) and AlternateBase, Windo...

RC10 - Can't assign keywords to multiselected search results or collection items via drag and drop

Hi - User Biff observed a behavior in Scriv 1.9x that I believe is also a bug in Beta RC10. 1. We can multiselect docs in the Binder and assign keywords to them from the Project Keywords control via drag and drop. keywordDrag1.png 2. But we can't do the same with multiselected docs in Search Results...
