Re: 24TH FEB - LEE'S UPDATE - BETA 1.7 IS HERE

Goodness me, Lee, that's quite a list of updates. Continual amazing props to you for all the work that's going on with Scrivener. I came to the conclusion last night that I can't write without Scrivener now, and it's an integral part of my armoury. I've written over 70,000 words on three projects in...

Re: CURRENT BETA DOWNLOAD (RELEASE 1.6 Win + Linux)

I'd just like to add my continued thanks. Since fairly early on, I've had zero problems with anything in Scrivener. In fact, I've not posted anything on here for ages simply because it's been working so well. The work you're doing is brilliant and I can't wait for final release.

Re: 8th DEC - LEE'S UPDATE

Thank you for continuing to update this. I've recently turned a fellow writer on to Scrivener; within half an hour she texted me to say that she loved it and would write with it from now on. Quick question: I take it that with the new beta, it won't expire on the 12th as the popup notice tells me ev...

Re: Winner who used Scrivener: Windows

Really glad that so many people have used Scrivener for success, just as I did. I think it's wonderful that I had a 'new toy' to play with in Scrivener, and finding out all about it kept my interest high. I can honestly say that I don't want to write in anything else. Full release now please :D

Winner who used Scrivener: Windows

Hi, I'd just like to say, thank you so much for making Scrivener a Windows application. Anyone who goes on the Bug forum may have seen my name, especially in the first two weeks. I had no end of problems getting it to work, and despaired of using it. Midway through Week 3, I bought a new netbook; my...

Re: Red 'DONE' stamp automaticallyappears on new corkboard cards

Thanks from me as well; I've been trying to work out why all mine were N/A as default; really looking for them to be unlabelled so I can do it myself.

Re: Pictures into Scrivener[BUG LOGGED]

Never mind :D I was making a new document in Scrivener, then trying to drag the picture into the document. What I should have been doing was what most people said, which is drag the picture straight onto the corkboard.

My apologies for wasted time ^^

Pictures into Scrivener[BUG LOGGED]

I've possibly got the wrong end of the stick here, or perhaps it's something not yet implemented that I've missed, but I want to be able to copy pictures from my own research into Scrivener so that I can look at them, basically. Currently copying a picture and pasting it into Scrivener just gives me...

Re: Scrivener.exe has encountered an error[ADDITIONAL INFO].

I'm using Windows XP, System Pack 3. The whole thing is working ok so far, touch wood; I've done away with the file I think was causing the trouble, one with a lot of hyperlinks in it. It was trying to load that page, I think, that was causing the problem, just as you suggested, Lee. Cheers, until i...

Re: Font defaults to size 8

While the regular fonts seem to be fixed for me (except the empty paragraphs of course), I am unable to change my corkboard font size or any document note font size. The corkboard will not move out of 8 pt when I try to change it via Edit > Options. The apply button doesn't change it, nor does just...

Re: Scrivener crashed, now says project is incompatible

I... ended up running it through my wife's Macbook. She was able to see the text in the files that had been replaced by a single strange symbol, or spaces.

Not a fix, but useful to know.

Re: Scrivener crashed, now says project is incompatible

I was having the same trouble initially; my version of Scrivener wasn't even opening after creating the project file, just crashed straight out with the same error message, "not compatible with this version". My computer's also Windows 7 and also is having trouble shutting down, namely it ...

Re: Scrivener.exe has encountered an error and has to close.

I'm still getting this error, though I think I might have narrowed down one or two causes. -When I opened some of the text files from the first attempt to run Scrivener, I was missing a lot of the most recent edits. Some text files just had one strange character in them. My wonderful wife was able t...

Re: Scrivener.exe has encountered an error and has to close.

The 3rd beta doesn't work either, so I guess the problem's with my system, somehow. It was working, then it wasn't, with no changes made. I was so looking forward to using this to do my NaNoWriMo, too. Thanks anyway. EDIT: Scratch that. Managed to make it work by deleting (!) all of my work thus far...

Can anyone suggest what information I could provide to help with this beyond what I have done?
