Re: 1.9.5.0 update fails due to permissions

You can also Shift + right click the installer file and choose "Run as administrator". No need to change anything. Still the problem with the new fonts directory is something we did not experience in our tests and should be looked after with the next installers. Unfortunately this does no...

1.9.5.0 update fails due to permissions

Hello.
The 1.9.5.0 update does not request admin install permissions via UAC and therefore fails to install if you are not running as an admin user. Please update this to request elevated permissions.

Thanks!

Re: Can Scrivener remove extra spaces between words?

It seems ctr + space doesn't work in scrivenings mode. Is this intentional? It would be nice to be able to clean up a whole project in one fell swoop without having to touch each individual file.

Re: Feature Request: Connector text and Paint brush

Just want to add another +1 to this feature request. I'm actually making a bus route map between major destinations, and being able to label the connecting lines would help immensely (i.e. bus numbers). Great program!

Re: More dictionary languages

Now that Windows 8 includes a system wide dictionary, will Scrivener be able to take advantage of it at some point? It will be nice to have Office and Scrivener use the same custom word list.

Spell Check Oddities with WordWeb

Hello, I've been working on some new documents lately and have noticed some strange spelling behaviors when working in Scrivener with WordWeb, a separate dictionary app. I think this has been happening for a long time, it has just really started to become bothersome to me. The behavior I am seeing i...

Re: 1.0.1 - Position jump on learning words

Ah, I had meant to check if it was only in Scrivenings and forgot! I went back and tested when working on a single document and the position did not jump, however, the scroll bar did still jump. It just didn't affect the displayed document position.

Thanks!

Re: 1.0.1 - Position jump on learning words

Attached is a screencast. The 'jump' doesn't happen on all words, and unfortunately, I haven't been able to figure out a pattern yet. I can reproduce the jump on demand by 'learning' a problem word and then remove it from the personal list and re-learning it. The jump doesn't seem to be related to t...

1.0.1 - Position jump on learning words

Hello, I'm using 1.0.1 and whenever I chose to have Scrivener learn a new word, the text jumps positions and thus I briefly lose my place in the document. I don't remember this having occurred in the beta versions, but it might have. It would be nice if everything stayed where it was so I don't have...

Re: Compile

You don't give a lot of information to go on, but make sure the documents you are trying to compile are child objects under the drafts object. Any objects on the same level as drafts can't be included in a compile and so will not show up in the include list. If they are not under the drafts, simply ...

Re: 049 Compile problem - Nothing to include

I've noticed some unexpected behavior in 1.0. If I right click on an object in the binder (such as a folder) and select new folder (or text) I would expect this object to become of child of the object I was clicking on. Instead, the object becomes a sibling and is created at the same level. This inc...

Re: 049 Compile problem - Nothing to include

I understand. It might be helpful if documents outside the drafts folder have the include checkbox grayed out to signify they cannot be included in a compile. This is also a case where it would be handy to be able to print multiple scrivlings as a single document as right now, you can only print one...

Re: 049 Compile problem - Nothing to include

You nailed it exactly. I did not catch that it was adding the folder on the same level and I was able to confirm this resolved my issue. To me, it seems like this should not be allowed as it puts things in 'limbo'. I would think everything should be either under drafts or research. Not sure if this ...
