Re: [29th Oct Update] Word Count Progress Bar[BUG LOGGED]

I'm having the same issue with Beta 1.2 on Windows 7, except it's a pulsing green line that looks a bit like a Cylon eye. I never had that problem until I updated.

Re: ***29th OCT - CURRENT BETA 1.2 IS VERSION HERE***

Just a quick question-- I replaced the .exe file as stated, but I keep getting UAC prompts on Windows 7 (32 bit Ultimate). I gave the .exe permission to run as administrator, and now, per the troubleshooter, I'm running it in XP SP2 compatibility mode. Do you know of any way to override the UAC prom...

Re: Autosave request

However, the problems I experienced were with Word 2010 on a Windows 7 netbook. It wasn’t horrible, but it was enough to cause me to decide to just work “offline” with .docx files and drag them to Dropbox before I leave the coffeehouse. No big deal, but for me that puts it at the same level of conv...

Re: Nanowrimo option for Windows

Look down at the bottom of the word processing window and you'll see a little round grey (I think) button next to an empty status bar. Click on the button, and you can enter the target number of words you want your document to be. As you write, the wordcount updates, and you see the little status ba...

Re: Autosave request

Yeah, the lack of save uploads with Word is what I was referring to. I've had further issues with it after closing too as well. I sometimes have to drag it out and back into the Dropbox folder for it to upload. Anyway the point was, it doesn't work seamlessly, and if you don't know the tricks it ca...

Re: Autosave request

Word works beautifully with Dropbox. I'm using Word 2010, and even though Dropbox can't upload after every save (Word apparently locks the file so Dropbox can't scrape the metadata to look for changes), documents upload perfectly when you close Word. I'm not sure where the reports come from that Wor...

Re: Some Feedback

It will actually apply settings as you click or change them. You can watch stuff changing as you make adjustments, if they impact the application visually. You might be right about that being a Mac thing though. That's been the trend---idea being that instant verification of a preference visually d...

Re: Autosave request

So manually back up to a zip file at the end of every session? This kind of pain is exactly why I started using Dropbox in the first place-- I got sick of forgetting to take the latest version of a file off my laptop before I powered it off. Both computers are seldom on at the same time-- I just wan...

Re: Some Feedback

2. The Options window is a bit awkward with the backward/forward arrows at the top to navigate between tabs. Perhaps easier just to make the window resizable? I'd love to second this, and I was hoping you could also add a little "Apply" button at the bottom to temporarily apply settings a...

Autosave request

I was hoping there might be a way that you could add an option to disable autosave completely instead of only being able to extend the idle period for x amount of seconds. I synced up my project file to Dropbox, and, for some reason, Dropbox keeps updating like mad when you stop typing for a couple ...

Re: Margins and fonts changing on close/reopen

I had something similar happen also. I was writing in Calibri 11 pt., and the formatting was lost completely. See screenshot of original here: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=8741 The font changed when I reopened to MS Shell Dlg 2, 8 pt., and all the indenting was lo...

Re: Spellcheck problems

And things that should be checked aren't... "Turian," a Mass Effect alien, is correct, apparently, but "scarred mandibles" isn't. Am adoring the word processor itself, though. The program interface is very easy on the eyes. :D

Spellcheck problems [BUG LOGGED]

I'm having a little bit of spellcheck weirdness. For some reason, the "ov" in the word "moved" is underlined, as are the apostrophe, the t, and the leading w in the two words, "didn't want."
