Re: Project Search and Replace + Undo = Sometimes Bad

Alas, she's using the NaNoWriMo Trial and says she can't find a "Backup" tab. Is there auto backup in that version? I'm guessing not and that makes me feel more uneasy. As I've said, people who do NaNoWriMo often scramble their words before validating and IMHO, they're the ones most prone ...

Re: Project Search and Replace + Undo = Sometimes Bad

Thanks for bringing this up. Project Replace is an not an undo-able action--technically it's just not possible to undo across all the different documents that get affected. Yeah, I suspected as much. Just a matter of managing expectations then. I'm uncertain whether she's on 1.0 but I'll definitely...

Project Search and Replace + Undo = Sometimes Bad

Just had a friend share this with me: She had a huge project (containing a few novels, notes, etc -- all in a book series), and she did a project search and replace...and then discovered she couldn't undo. :( I tried replicating this (by replacing a character name, or worse, by replacing the letter ...

Re: Scrivener 1.0.2 crashes on exit

I can't produce this error, either, but has anyone who's been having this error consistently tried disabling their internet, check for updates (you'll get a host not found or some such), and then exit to see if that changes anything?

Re: Beta Tester Names for 1.0

I'm assuming if we're already listed on the current beta's About, we don't need to send an email? I'm so excited about this release. Things got really crazy in the second half of this year for me, so I've been gone for a while, but hunting down those bugs with all of you in the earlier versions actu...

Re: BETA 049 RELEASED

I've been sadly away from Scrivener because of my own development projects of DOOM, but I was lured back with whispers of release dates and updates  Went to install the latest version and I just wanted to say "Wow" and "Kudos!" Lee and team, you all have done a really awesom...

Re: Installation Issue with Beta 026 prevents launching

Well, hmmm, if it's happening on a new machine, then it doesn't sound like a previous installation conflict? For those who had the problem, did you also get the error message Broken Thought got? Broken Thought, just curious -- not sure if it'll help -- but did you check the application log event? Ve...

Re: 025: Autocorrect "Hi."

 No worries, but just to set the record straight I am actually a "she". I stumbled on this one while drafting a much overdue blog entry, and used "Hi." as my opener--only to get distracted by the bug and procrastinated a full ten minutes exploring it ;) This is pretty funny ...

Dang, I've an Asus, W7, but it doesn't seem to rotate for me. I'm a little bummed  I was looking forward to a few minutes of procrastination fun.

025: Autocorrect "Hi."

If I type [Capitalized Letter] + i + [period/fullstop] The entire word is capitalized. I noticed this when I tried to type "Hi." it becomes "HI." I tried with other combinations "Ai." -> "AI.", "Bi." -> "BI." etc. I disabled the "capit...

Re: V025: Keyboard Short Cuts

If you use ctrl+q and ctrl+t, you will get the expected indentation  Ahhh, in that case, I'm guessing that the descriptions on the PDF were swapped. Ctrl-t for normal indent makes more sense to me than Ctrl-q . :) Ctrl - seems to be used for both zooming out and the strikethrough function. Th...

V025: Keyboard Short Cuts

So, since Lee so thoughtfully gave a listing of all the keyboard short cuts implemented (or planned?), I figured that this was a feature that was begging to be tested. Ctrl-h Shortcut to replace. Does not seem to be implemented. I tried invoking it in single editor view, split view, etc= nada...

Re: Known Bugs for Beta 024

I've been away most of the month, but wow, did I miss an extremely organized month in the Bug Hunting of Scrivener. Well done, MM!

Just wanted to ask: now that's 025 is out, will you be expanding this thread to include that version, or will there be a new thread?

Re: LEE'S UPDATE - BETA 025 RELEASED

Also installed without pre-removal with no problems. *thumbs up* First few minutes of poking around, and it's really, really looking polished. I love how much more intuitive the tool bar arrangement/naming is now. :) Lee, hope you get a little more time to fully enjoy the fresh air/light. I've been ...

Re: 30th APRIL - LEE'S UPDATE

I'm so glad to hear you managed to get some downtime, Lee, and it's so great to hear working on Scrivener has made such a positive impact. The best things come not just hard work, but also a great deal of passion in that work, and I think those of us here have all had the privilege to witness that--...
