Re: Word Count Off in Editor

I'm on XP (with all service packs) for my system, but I'm only validating one file. I even split the file up into three files, and then tried to match up the word count for each with MS Word, and it turned out spot-on. I *think* (but not positive) that either the word count is either counting the sp...

Word Count Off in Editor[NOTED]

I'm not sure if anyone's noticed yet-I only noticed because I was submitting my novel for valiadation-but the word count in the editor (as opposed to the outliner) is off. In the footer, it says that I should have 1,444 words for my current story; Nano's validation says I only have 1, 401 words (I a...

Re: Change color of editor title bar?

You're welcome, JJ. ^_^

I've had that issue happen to me before on other things I downloaded-and it drove me *nuts* before I figured out that it was my theme.

Ever since then, I've just picked netural-ish color, and left it like that.

I'm glad I could help!

Re: Change color of editor title bar?

Huh...mine's green. However, that didn't bother me, as I was assuming that the editor bar (and all others) were only taking their color from my color scheme on my PC.

Did you try changing your windows theme?

Weird Random thing with Tutorial[ADDITIONAL INFO]

Okay, here's my weird random thing: Whenever I open the tutorial to double-check something, I find all of my other windows re-sized, and my tutorial window usually opens *behind* another window. LIke, say I have Explorer open, and am looking at a webpage; when I go to open the tutorial, it makes my ...

Re: Alternate Editor Questions

Yes!

It does! This actually helps me quite a bit.

Now, if only I could drag and drop text files to the non-active side of the split without having to A) click on it to make it active, or B) go through the alternate editor to do so.

Thank you. I appreicate it very much.

Alternate Editor Questions

Like, What does it do? And why, in the tutioral, does the search function not find the 'Alternate Editor' at all? It finds 'editor' just fine, but I can't even seem to find mention of the 'Alternate Editor' in the tutioral. I'm assuming that the Alternate Editor is a place to put other text document...

Re: Cannot vertically resize non-maximized Scrivener window

Dittoing. I had this same situation-only I thought it was meant to be that way. But, I closed the inspector, and I can use both the diagonal arrow and the Up-down arrow for the height. And my resoultion is at 15-something-something by 768; I checked that first. With, I should probobly mention on a G...

Re: Ach! New download won't start

Um...not an expert, here, but did you by chance drop the new download into a temporary file? That is, when the box comes up asking to "save" vs "run", did you click on "run"? I did that, and it caused me greif because it wasn't downloading to the right spot. When I got ...

Re: Adjusting the main window size...

I'll have to do that; maximizing the window works as a temp. solution, and when I closed the inspector, it would let me adjust the window height, so that must mean it's a bug.

Thanks, all.

Re: Adjusting the main window size...

Tryolancer-

Thanks! That helped, although I wish I could adjust the height without having to have the window at it's maximazed size.

Still, it's better than having to move my taskbar!

Thanks again.

Adjusting the main window size...

This may sound like a dumb question, and honestly, I'm not sure where to put this, because I don't think it's a bug-it's more of a user-comfort feature. The main window-the one where you can type and such-is there any way to adjust the window size? I've tried moving my mouse to the corners (both top...

Problem with NaNoWriMo Template? [FIXED]

I've just downloaded Scrivener for windows, and then I downloaded the Nano Template. I opened the template, and was told that : Project NaNoWriMo Templates is incompatible with this version of Scrivener. The project at C:/DOCUME~1/OWNER~1.YOU/LOCALS~1/Temp/Temporary Directory 1 for NaNoWriMoWinTempl...
