This one's a bit more minor. 1. Run spell check. 2. It flags a name. 3. The name's not misspelled, so I click Find Next. If there are no further misspelled words, Scrivener stops and doesn't do anything else. It doesn't say the spell check is completed or that there aren't any other words. It just s...
Another bug, more annoying that anything else. For this, I'm using the highlighter feature for multiple lines and alternating colors. This is where the bug shows up. 1. Select two lines and then go to the highlight and pick a color 2. Select two more lines and pick a different color. The first line ...
I normally keep my spell-check turned off, then run it, so this bug may not have been spotted yet. After I get to the last flagged word, the okay box pops up, but it's grayed out. Essentially it's frozen, and the only way to return to write is to bring up the Task Manager and end the program from th...
This is a minor bug in View>Use Label Color> In Binder.
My main story is color coded Yellow in the labels. If I try the above setting to show the labels in the binder, I get a yellow label with white text. There's no contrast, so it's completely unreadable.
Alas, changing the margins doesn't really work. To change them all at once, I should be able to select All. But when I do that, it shows the correct margins for the titles instead of the bad ones for the text. The only way I've been able to change them is to select the problem text only, which means...
I checked in with the compile (Compile >docx) to see if the running off the page had been fixed. Now, when compile is run, it compresses the margins down to half an inch. The only thing not affected are the titles.
I tried Paste Style to see if I could get the page formatted right -- didn't make a difference. In Word, I can go all the way down to a 25% view to correct the formatting on that end, but there doesn't appear to be any way to correct it in Scrivener, other than to fix it on the Word end. I'm also pu...
I just wanted to add a discovery to this. I had a scene that was running off the page in Word. I thought I would try pasting it into a new file to see if that fixed it. It didn't. But in the process, I discovered that in the files with the problem, there isn't a right margin triangle. It does appear...
Since I've passed along so many reports of bugs, I wanted to comment on what a pleasant surprise I got when I saw this user interface. I love how the index cards now show colored cards and that I can use the color numbers to change the choices. I also like the color on the binder that helps set it a...
What file format are you compiling to? (That can make a difference.) I've had the unknown error compiling to PDF with linux-native, and I get "May require MS Word to be installed" for compiling to PDF with the windows version (and wine). .docx Also just noticed there's a typo in the dialo...
Compile has a bit of a usability issue -- not a bug, but just the way it works. I've been using it to back up my manuscript, so as it gets larger (over 100 pages), it takes a little longer to process. After I click compile and select the file, the compile box stays open before the program starts the...
I had a sentence I highlighted with the yellow highlighter. I decided later that I didn't need the text, so I deleted it. Evidently, the highlighter went to the next paragraph and highlighted all of it. Now I can't turn it off. I highlight the paragraph, and click no highlighting. The highlighting d...
