This is probably already out there, but I've got Beta 1.5 and neither the apostrophes or quotation marks show up if they are 'smart quotes' when I copy and paste. I did poke around the forums some, and there are some things there, but they were all for Beta 1.4 and so I figured that I would comment ...
The giving me no option for going back from the split screen really isn't what bothered me, it was just the fact that it split screened at all. It was just definitely wacky. I'm on Windows Vista Ultimate (something with a U... and it's not the home version) and I'm still on beta 1.2. And it just hap...
Yep, me again with more random start up issues. The split screen didn't happen again, but something else odd did. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa3/TatraMegami/moarstuffsscrivener.jpg When I shut Scrivener down last night, I left my document on Day Six, which is a duplicate of the daily target ...
The asterisk next to the file name shows whether or not the file is saved, since scrivener saves automatically after two seconds of inactivity. When the asterisk isn't there, it means that the file is saved and the asterisk shows up it means that the file isn't saved yet.
This just happened to me again. I opened scrivener and I clicked onto one of my chapter files. It showed up as a corkboard, and I clicked on the text view and it suddenly split the screen, showing the manuscript and the corkboard of the chapter. I took a screenshot this time: http://i202.photobucket...
I have no idea how this happened, but it did, so I figured that I'd report it. I opened my Nanowrimo template just now, and clicked on my manuscript tab in the binder and that's where crazy stuff happened. It showed up as the corkboard, even though it was supposed to be on the text view. In fact, th...
So, I tried to fix this, but the right align tab just keeps coming back whenever I switch to another document. But, getting rid of the second right align tab seems to work. Just thought that I would mention it.
Cool. I did kind of think that this was an older sort of bug, but then the forums have gotten slightly more confusing than the first day and it's hard to stay on top of everything.
So, I'm still running the Beta 1.0, since I was too lazy to download the updated one, but something weird just happened... I had outlined my Nanowrimo on Google Notebooks before I downloaded Scrivener, so I decided to copy and paste the stuff I had on the website and it did so just fine, but then I ...
Ah, thank you! I was just so used to MS Word 2007 and the way it has the selected text's word count right there with the other word count. Plus, I think my eyes kind of went right past the right clicked menu, since it was something that I couldn't click on and was faded.
I thought that was one of those things that will come later. All the stuff in the orange highlighter is yet to come, and even some of the stuff out of the orange highlighter. And the line spacing is highlighted in step 17 of the tutorial.
So, I inputted a target number into the Document Target for one document, fulfilled that, and went on to another document without entering a new document goal. Well, first the Document Target stayed the same when I went to the other document, showing that I had 100% completed. I got a bit confused t...
I'm not quite sure if this is a bug, something yet to come, or something for the wishlist forum when it comes about, but I've notice that, while typing in a document, the only word count available is the total count. When you highlight something (i.e. click and drag your mouse over the text or shift...
Another random thing I've found in the tutorial is the fact that the footnotes and the annotations are not already there in Part 4: Text Tools. It just looks plainly like this: Inline Annotation and Footnotes Inline footnotes and annotations look like this: This text has a footnote after it. This is...
