Compile with Kindlegen: weird error

I am using the compile option in Scrivener on my short story to create ebook files. The story compiles fine into EPUB, also compiles into XHTML without problems. But when I compile using Kindlegen, I get this weird error: http://www.clarybooks.com/Pics/compile-error.jpg I can still compile into MOBI...

Re: Exporting to Word

Okay. It turns out that when I start a story in Scrivener, the right-hand margin is always very wide. So if I pull that margin in to 7.5 inches, then compile to .RTF, the file opens in Word with a correct right-hand margin. So that's okay, but it leaves me with a question. When I compile to an ebook...

Exporting to Word

I export my Scrivener file to Word for my editors to work with. I've used both .RTF and .docx file types for export. In both cases, the files when opened in Word 2010 have an indent outside the page dimensions, so the type scrolls off the page. It is easy enough to fix this in Word by selecting all ...

Re: BETA 049 RELEASED

I uninstalled .35 and installed .049 and still have the Nov. 7 end date as well. Is there a fix for this, or am I out of luck in a week?

Re: Project incompatible after crash

Nope I'm just using the main character name, and it's nothing unusual. Very glad this was so easy to fix! Thanks.

Re: Project incompatible after crash

Just FYI, the fix suggested in this link fixed my issue as well. My version file was empty; must have corrupted when I crashed. All good now!

Project incompatible after crash

Have I lost this entire project? My computer crashed and when I came back to open my Scrivener project I got this error message "Project project is incompatible with this version of Scrivener." (and yes, it repeated Project like that). Is there any way to salvage this file or is it gone fo...

Re: It's coming up on a month -- Any news?

I was just coming over to look for news myself, so I'll jump on your thread.

Less than a week now till my Scrivener stops working. Please tell me something new will be ready before then!

Exporting to RTF thank you!

I just wanted to give this feedback: I am uploading a short story to Smashwords and working carefully through the Smashwords guide. This was a story I wrote some time ago and so I typed it clean into Scrivener so that I could update and rewrite it at the same time. I exported into RTF format and loa...

Dec 6, what happens then?

I started using Scrivener for NaNoWriMo, but the book I'm working on is going to take much longer than that. Scrivener has been a huge help, really the best writing companion I've ever had. My version says it will stop working on Dec. 6, and the alpha version isn't due until sometime in January, rig...

Cut and paste from Excel

I plan to work on a novel for NaNo that I already have a partial outline for. Like a lot of folks, I had been using Excel for background notes, character lists, etc. I am now c-and-ping that stuff into Scrivener as prep before we all start writing for real. But when I do a plain cut and paste, the n...

Re: Initial Impressions Very Favorable

Love the screenshot function! That solves a real writing problem for me. And I look forward to working with all the various ways of viewing files and snippets. It's a complex program, but looks straightforward to just jump into and start writing. This will fun to work with for NaNo, I think.
