Re: [LH2831] ScratchPad

I can bring something up, but it's minuscule. (ctrl-shift-O? or ctrl-shift-0? I was doing ctrl-shift-O)

HOw do you know when you've got a Catholic Star Wars fan?

Re: Scratch pad missing UI elements? (2.9.0.2)

Don't think it's your colour blindness as they are barely visible to me on my hi res screen, but they are there. I could be able to tweak the theme, as well, to be a lighter gray. I haven't found a theme that works with WINE, to be perfectly honest. :/ The GTK integration is a crapshoot, I've found.

Scratch pad missing UI elements? (2.9.0.2)

So I'm trying to create a new note in my scratch pad, and I'm missing the icons at the left to create a new note or delete an existing one. Resizing the window doesn't bring the buttons back, either. StaceyUK was kind enough to send me a screenshot of hers, and she clearly has two shadowy boxes wher...

Re: Scrivener 2.9 (WINE-related)

Just installed latest (2.9.0.2) with straight 64bit wine. The app started and "runs" just fine, even without 'allfonts' and speechsdk. Good to know. We should update the wineappdb page. I haven't had time to do so. There are no entries for the beta. Sent a message to one of the maintainer...

Re: [BB] Backups not being created

I had this problem, as well. It crashed while I was setting the backup folder originally, and reselecting the correct backup folder solved it. https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=49950&p=255811#p255811 ETA: I don't think Scrivener creates a new backup, if the origin...

I'd settle for Scrivener acquiring sentience and being able to do the dishes.

Re: Install and run issues 2.9.0.2 (64-bit)

What OS are you using it on? Secondly, have you updated your video card drivers recently? If your video card is a potato, Scrivener is sluggish with the beta. I got a new video card for Christmas/birthday (yay!), and things are much, much zippier. Also, how much system RAM do you have? Scrivener 2.9...

So we on, even informally? It's going to be Really Awfully Cold. Like colder than a welldigger's neither-regions, so it'll be good to start a project then. I still have no plot, no real characters mapped out, or a lot of the research done.

Re: Happy Birthday garpu!

Thanks! Was drinking coffee in my PJ's, and now we're headed out to see "The Last Jedi" and consume sushi. (It's my SO's birthday, too.) Sadly, I'm not still wearing PJ's, since they frown upon such things at the theatre. :)

Re: No go on 2.9.2 on Crossover 17 x64 - Works on 32-bit

I'm using the 64-bit one. Does Crossover do shared WoW64? See this: https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/crossover/forum/world-of-warcraft?msg=116837 Heh, close. I'm talking this: https://wiki.winehq.org/Building_Wine#Shared_WoW64 A lot of 64-bit Windows applications still use 32-bit things, s...

Re: No go on 2.9.2 on Crossover 17 x64 - Works on 32-bit

I installed the latest beta (2.9.2 x64) in Crossover 17 in a Windows 7 64-bit bottle without success. I have attached the error log. I then tried to install 2.9.2 x86 (incorrectly named x84) to a Windows 7 32-bit bottle. Success! I can now start working my way through the interactive tutorial to se...

Video card driver thing? I got the black box on the last beta. This one displayed properly, but I've got a new video card with better drivers. :D
