Re: Scrivener not exiting cleanly? [2.9.0.2 and 2.9.0.3, 64-bit]

No, there's no automatic connection with Dropbox; it shouldn't be affecting things. Could you launch Scrivener via the ScrivenerLog.bat file in its installation directory, with admin rights, and let that log through when you quit Scrivener, then see if that offers any indication of the problem? You...

Re: Scrivener not exiting cleanly? [2.9.0.2 and 2.9.0.3, 64-bit]

Did a little testing with Dropbox and Scrivener running, and Scrivener still isn't exiting cleanly.

Re: Scrivener not exiting cleanly? [2.9.0.2 and 2.9.0.3, 64-bit]

Not sure if this is related, but if Scrivener doesn't exit cleanly, and I forget to kill the PID, then Dropbox (linux native) won't start up properly. (I'm not entirely sure what exactly is going on with Dropbox--it'll load the libraries, but then the process will die.) Does Scrivener 3 sync with Dr...

Re: Linux 1.9.01 Beta Released

Hrm. I wonder if there's a way to script a conversion between projects? That is, make a script that'll convert 3.0 to 1.9.7, and then 1.9.7 to 3.0? There probably IS a way. However, it's probably a lot more work than it's worth. Scrivener's format is not trivial, even though it is comprised of simp...

So as a stopgap, how different are the two formats? Is the conversion something that could be scripted?

Re: Scrivener 2.9 (WINE-related)

And yes, Scrivener doesn't exit cleanly for me ,,, I have to exit CrossOver to do it fully. Not that is really a problem for me. Hrmmm....this sounds like a Scrivener bug. I'm wondering if it just isn't an issue for those of us not on Linux or OSX? Have to wonder if this might be the cause of the r...

Re: Scrivener 2.9 (WINE-related)

I'd bug report the footnote thing. It sounds like a Scrivener issue, not a WINE one. I"m having issues with Scrivener not exiting cleanly.

Re: Scrivener 2.9 (WINE-related)

Doesn't immediately suggest anything wrong to me. Try installing it to a clean WINEPREFIX?

Re: Scrivener 2.9 (WINE-related)

FYI, Scrivener isn't exiting cleanly for me. Once you finish, kill -9 the Scrivener PID after exiting, and it should clean up.

Scrivener not exiting cleanly? [2.9.0.2 and 2.9.0.3, 64-bit]

I'm 95% sure this is a Scrivener issue, not a WINE one, but it might not be an issue to people actually using Windows. Sorry, this one is technical. When I exit Scrivener, the PID won't end. It'll be marked as defunct, but it'll still hang in memory. fuser -mv /my/home/partition will show a bunch of...

Re: [LH2831] ScratchPad

With 2.9.0.3, if I do ctrl-shift-0, (zero) Scrivener will hang. (And I need to kill the process.) 64-bit.
