A smart way to share templates between computers?

Hi,

I use Scrivener on two different computers working on the same projects at home and on the road via Dropbox (works fine). I also frequently update and tweak my templates. My question is: What is the easiest way to keep my templates up to date at both computers?

Cheers

External spell check?

Hi all I primarily use Scrivener for text written in the Danish language. Unfortunately, Apple's built-in spell checking functionality is rather poor in the Danish version. Even more unfortunately, the most efficient and professional spell checking system in my language is that of Microsoft Word. I ...

Re: Note Blizzard

Thought I'd post a brief follow up on the discussion about note taking. It turned out that AmberV was right (not very surprising, actually): Tinderbox is a very cool way of taking notes - once you've learned how to master the program. It took several attempts before I got a TB database going that wo...

3rd time around

I just received the first copies of my new book (a young adult novel). This is the third book I write entirely in Scrivener, and the program keeps growing on me, I have to say. It allows me to write in many different ways and experiment with new approaches and still stay in control. Anyway, here it ...

Re: Custom tags in page footer

Oh. Okay. Thanks!

And meta data is always tied to individual docs because it can be changed for each doc?
For that you would use the replacements function in the compile menu?

Custom tags in page footer

Hi, I have a document that uses various meta data, like OrigTitle. When I use these in custom tags like this: <$Custom:OrigTitle> ... it works perfectly. Except when I use it for a header or footer in the page settings in the compile menu. Here tags like <$Draftname> will work nicely, but custom tag...

Re: Note Blizzard

But for myself I'm holding back on any suggestions until KB and his team have had time to let 2.0 bed down and to enjoy some post-launch R&R... That's why this thread is in the "And Now For That Latte" part of the world ;) And I am so impressed with the work of KB and his gang. I have...

Re: Note Blizzard

@AmberV: Yeah, I used the $CleanupAction=none as suggested by Mark Anderson. It works quite well. @SlipboxMeister, AmberV I agree with you both - notes should be kept simple. But ... everybody seems to ignore my notion that Scrivener's Scratchpad files should be accessible from mobile devices? Cheer...

Re: Note Blizzard

PS: Tinderbox - still playing around with it. The learning curve reminds me of L'Alpe d'Huez! You have to figure everything out from the bottom. For instance, how do I make a flattened map view of a deep hierarchical structure of notes? I have a feeling it might be possible - but also that it would...

Scratchpad delete note cannot cancel

I have noticed the following: In Scratchpad selecting a note (or notes) and pressing the delete note icon in the bottom of the floating window will produce a modal dialog with the text "Delete Selected Notes?" and Cancel and OK buttons. The selected notes are deleted no matter which button...

Re: Note Blizzard

Something just occured to me ... (that actually does happen from time to time). There are two kinds of notes in my life: 1) Every day notes: shopping lists, passwords, ticket ref numbers, recepies etc. 2) Creative notes: Ideas for stories, notes on projects, bits of dialogue etc. And they don't mix ...
