Re: Fonts changing

Ah, that appears to have fixed it!
Thank you. I'm not sure how I missed that in the tutorial. :)

Fonts changing

I've just installed Scrivener, copied my manuscript over into Dropbox and synced. Everything's working great! But... ;) ...I have noticed one tiny issue. When I open Scrivener in windows and do a sync, any files that I edited on iOS appear in a different font. I didn't make any font changes on iOS, ...

Re: Tutorial Help

Hi Softy, You can reset the tutorial by deleting the saved version, as per AmberV's instructions here: https://is.gd/sz08Ms By default, Scrivener saves after 2s of inactivity, which has saved a lot of people's work when they lose power etc. It does require a slightly different mindset from something...

Re: Binders/Collection visual behavior a bit clunky

With the old functionality, the collections kept pushing the binder area down with no stopping point, so it could quickly reach the point of becoming unusable because you couldn't see anything in the collection and there was no way to scroll at all, so if you had so many tabs (or such large fonts f...

Re: Binders/Collection visual behavior a bit clunky

I use a collection for each of the main characters in my story, so I've got eight tabs, including the binder. In older versions I could see all those tabs at once, but a recent version imposed a limit of five; I have to scroll the window to see the others. Is that a bug, or is that the intended func...

Re: USER POLL -WHAT FEATURE DO YOU WANT FIRST AFTER RELEASE?

There doesn't appear to be any mention of QuickReference Panels on this list. Are they planned to be included over the next six months, or further off?

Re: 16th JAN - LEE'S UPDATE

Thank you for all your work Lee - I can't believe you and Ian have managed to get as much done as you have, given all the obstacles in your way. Implementing the name generator while laid up in bed is really above and beyond the call of duty! :) Is it okay to just install this version over the top o...

Re: Newbie Question: Index Cards N/A

To batch change the label or status for documents, select the documents you want to change in the binder (or in corkboard or outliner), right click and then set the Status or Label through the context menu. :) Ah, thank you, I didn't think of looking in the right click menu. Now I can easily label ...

Re: Text width on full screen view

I think this might be a known bug. On the bug list there's a bug in the Full Screen section that's described as: Text moves to side of screen In full screen mode, when changing the paper width, sometimes the text is shunted to the left hand side of the paper, rather like in a word document when you ...

Re: Newbie Question: Index Cards N/A

I'm not sure why it's coming up as a default, but the red labels are what's called Status labels. You can set them up to read anything you like (I have one that says REWRITE for when I know that I need to go back and make a scene better :) ) Anyway, the way to change it is to select one of the index...

Re: NaNoWriMo 2010--DONE! Thanks to Scrivener!

I'm another NaNo winner and I really couldn't have done it without Scrivener. One thing that I found useful was to use Scrivenings mode to display my last section directly above any new section I was starting. That meant that I was never faced with a totally blank page, and the crippling writers blo...

Re: Paintbrush please

Jaype is correct but the options are actually in the right-click menu on the Windows version. You can highlight the text you've already formatted, right click on it and choose "Copy Style", then highlight the unformatted text, right click and choose "Paste Style" to format it. Ma...

So it does. That shows you how much I read of that message as I click through it. :)

Re: Where's the update? What happens Dec 12th?

You can find Beta 1.2 in this thread: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=9100 It's not a full install, just a .exe file that you need to copy over the top of the Scrivener.exe in the folder where you installed it. As for buying the full program, I think the plan is to h...
