Re: WWDC 2019

I for one have dreams of spending tens of thousands of dollars on a Mac Pro with maxed out specs and two of their new pro screens, and then just using it to run Scrivenapple.

Maybe then I’ll finally be able to brute force my way through writer’s block. That’s how it works, right?

Re: Wanted: Proofreader / Copyeditor with Scrivener expertise

There are a number of reasons why you might struggle to get a response. Firstly, professional proofreaders tend to get their work through established channels, and if they’re any good are likely to have more than enough work on. Secondly, there’s a big ‘x’ factor in taking on work through random sol...

Re: Is this really L&L?

It’s legit... LL’s official twitter account have shared the same posts and linked several times to the Instagram page (including formally introducing it). I’m disappointed I don’t have any parody accounts. Maybe I should set some up. I can use them to post grumpy posts about how I’m never going to d...

Re: NiAD 2019**

Mrs PF thinks we should do it again. I’m not sure what her motive is, but since I’ve only ever seen her make one bad decision in her life (and 20 years later I’m still very grateful she did) I usually end up doing what she says.

Re: Benefits of a College education

Sure. There are careers where specific subjects are either a boost or a necessity. A law degree helps if you want to be a lawyer. A medicine degree is essential if you want to be a doctor. If we let that limited use case drive our view on the validity and value higher education we’ll be hurting all ...

Re: Benefits of a College education

Indeed. It’s easy to be unaware, especially if you’ve not been to college, that the main benefit of college isn’t the academic knowledge of your chosen subject. The main benefit is a framework for critical thinking and the proven ability to learn new concepts and apply them. My first post-studying j...

Re: What is your preferred keyboard?

Moog I have been resisting this post for days. But I can't. Being on topic is killing me. I can't just sit here and let information flow uninhibited. I just feels wrong. ok, I am done and it is out of my system. And yes I know it is a synth not a keyboard. leave me alone. More a fan of the Rhodes m...

So what do you want them to do? He wants them to get it done in no time at all. He simply doesn’t understand what it takes to create a functioning application. What he misses is that this gives him an external excuse to procrastinate, which is exactly what he is doing in here. Oh my, I never realis...

Re: I sold my book!

A year between books is normal. 2020 just seems a long way away because it’s been a visible milestone ( :D ) of the future for so long.

I should point out - there’s a spelling mistake on the front cover. Hopefully picked up in proofs!
