Import PDF files into Scrivener using email

I have not purchased the app yet. Can files be imported into Scrivener using email? Right now, I can email myself a PDF file as an attachment and when I open it on my iPad, I have several choices as to where to save it: Goodreader, Notability, iThoughts and others. Once I get Scrivener installed, wi...

Re: Justified text for .mobi

I guess I'm the only one who wants this feature. Thanks anyway. I have been disappointed when I see users pose questions regarding converting to .mobi go unanswered. Scrivener advertises their software as being able for the user to "self-publish by exporting to ePub or Kindle* formats to share...

Re: Scrivener won't start since the update

Rayg,

From what little I know, the answer has nothing to do with the operating system on our computer but the version-either 32 or 64 bit-has to do with the application, Scrivener. Not an exact answer for you but sheds more light.

Re: Scrivener limitations for research folder

Greetings, I'm migrating a huge project which contains +8.000 pdf articles (for research section) and +900 pages in +100 word documents (for the draft section). What are the limitations of Scrivener in terms of number of files (in the research area), pages, etc. Are the limitations only related wit...

Re: Unanswered Posts re: epub and Kindle format

First, I should have said David Hewson, not Richard. Sorry about that. I'm not disagreeing with you. My only point was that I think the reason you've struggled to find an answer is simply that the degree of functionality you want is not there right now. Basically, Scrivener is a writing tool designe...

Re: Unanswered Posts re: epub and Kindle format

Hi Jo, I'd guess that the short answer is that these are known issues and the ebook compile options are one of the areas that the team are likely to continuing to look at developing. It's worth remembering, however, that " Scrivener itself is not an e-book editor, even though it can produce e-...

Re: Kindle Chapter Numbering Problem

There's a bug presently whereby the numbering is incorrectly counting by page (section) break, so that might be what's affecting your compile--do you have a title page or any other section that comes before the first chapter? Edit: Eh, although then your first chapter won't be included in the auto-...

Re: Help with importing manuscript to compile as Kindle

Thanks, Marilynx, I do need any helpful suggestions. People like you keep people like me from pulling out all their hair. :D I do not like all the little technical considerations that seem to pile on with the conversion to an ebook.

Help with importing manuscript to compile as Kindle

I have a finished manuscript that I wrote in Word. I purchased Scrivener for its compile to Kindle feature as well as using it for future manuscripts. Could someone please steer me in the right direction as to how to import the manuscript into Scrivener? From what I learned in the tutorial, it is be...

Re: Newbie Needs Help with Tutorial

I will answer my own question. I had a tutorial from beta testing that must have loaded instead of the new one. Once I deleted that and loaded the new tutorial, everything was resolved.

Newbie Needs Help with Tutorial

Oy vay! Just purchased the program and downloaded, etc. Into the tutorial, I am on step two and already confused. My header view has no arrows and my footer view has no percentage. I have tried to toggle on and off the screenplay mode and that doesn't seem to change anything. I have tried Ctrl + m a...

Re: Scrivener to kindle tutorial?

The main reason I wanted to get Scrivener is for compiling a couple of books I have written to .mobi format. Now, I am not so sure based on the comments on this thread. :?: It can also be the case that support comes more quickly by email direct to Scrivener support personnel.
