Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

I think the iPad Pro is really going to confuse people. It's bigger than - and nearly as heavy as - a MacBook 12" (which makes me wonder why anyone would want to use it as a writing machine *over* a MacBook, but hey, I'm clearly getting old...), but nowhere near as capable as a MacBook. Many u...

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

Support for Pencil would be great also. Perhaps V2? Doubtful - unless Apple adds pencil support to their text system, I guess. Not sure how it would be useful in Scrivener, though. holy crap, in light of the fact that scriv ios isn't imminent and that the first version won't have scrivenings... i'v...

Re: Beta Bugs - Post Them Here

Project statistics is broken in the latest beta. Re: Mavericks?

Right, theoretically this is true, and Thunderbolt is an exciting technology. We've yet to see it really take hold in the pro hardware scene. Perhaps something like this could help push it, if enough of the right kind of people get behind the device and if Apple does as well as they did with vendor...

Thanks for trying the beta. This isn't a bug - search operates on the main window, and search highlights aren't intended to affect QR panels.

All the best,

Sigh. It would be nice if they did, or at least have the option.

Re: Beta Bugs - Post Them Here

Searching for words highlights them in the editor but not in quicklook windows. Not sure if this is a bug with the beta or just something that's not implemented but I just noticed it. To reproduce: Search for any word, in the binder 3 finger quicklook or spacebar any document, no word is highlighted...

Trying to get external folder to sync between two Macs

Here's what I'm trying to accomplish: I have two macs, a retina, and an iMac both running Mountain Lion and latest MAS Scrivener. I want to use external folder sync pointed to my iAwriter folder which is stored in iCloud. If I set it up on one Mac, it works perfect. The files sync and seconds later ...

Pro tip: I have my scratchpad directory in my Dropbox folder. This way it's available to all my macs without having to think about it.

Re: Configurable keyboard for easy editing

Let's hope for the sake of things that iOS 6 includes rich text. Wouldn't that be great? Also I have a suggestion: there are a few apps that have the ability to install their own fonts. System wide installing of fonts is a no go, but an app can have its own fonts provided that it can use Dropbox to ...

Re: Sync with external folder problem

Well now the docs are being sent to the folder, however this is the problem I've run into: Screen Shot 2012-04-02 at 7.35.13 PM.png Now I went a step further and selected Scrivener to sync inside the "Documents" folder and "Draft" and "Notes" is created inside the "...

Sync with external folder problem

Here's what I'm trying to do... I use iA writer on my iPad, iPhone, and MacBook Pro. iA writer creates a iCloud folder and I want to sync my Collection in Scrivener, named "iAwriter" with the existing iCloud folder but Scrivener won't let me. :( How can I get this to work? Screen Shot 2012...

Re: Will the release of OS X Mountain Lion affect Scrivener?

If I recall correctly, when iCloud sees a date mismatch between two devices it will save a copy of the old document and not write over it, leaving the user to decide which copy to use. A sync type feature for only text would be awesome but I'm not sure how that would work with sandboxing, if say, I ...

Re: iBooks Author Observations

Well I was hoping that it could output to epub, but no. It's a proprietary .iba file, which when renamed to .zip lets you extract and see the contents. The zip contains nothing more than thumbnails, an xml file (which doesn't have any html in it), a .pdf preview of the file, and a color profile file...
