Re: Prowritingaid Plug-in for Scrivener?

I see they have lots of options for their API (https://prowritingaid.com/en/App/API) but maybe that's the wrong approach. Their API seems to be for developers who want to build the features of PWA into their app. People here already have PWA and just want it to work in Scrivener. PWA already adverti...

Re: Grammar and style notation

That was in reference to a much more comprehensive grammar checker. what Hemingway does is quite simple in comparison.

Grammar and style notation

There are so many writing apps out there that focus on singular features. The problem is you can't write in so many different apps to get all of those features. I feel odd asking for the signature feature of another app to be added to Scrivener, but it does seem very nice, although not something I'd...

Re: NaNoWriMo Obfuscated

RTFM I guess. I did notice one interesting thing, that numbers are not obfuscated.

Re: NaNoWriMo Obfuscated

It is built into the Mac version, but hidden by default I think. Use the "Format As" drop-down in the compile window and select the management option at the bottom of that menu to toggle which presets are active. Got it. Thanks. This should be written on the NaNoWriMo page (http://www.lit...

Re: NaNoWriMo Obfuscated

Where is the Obfuscated compile option for the Mac? It doesn't mention it in the Mac instructions, and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Re: NaNoWriMo: How to compile my novel for validating?

Just to be clear, there is no Obfuscated compile option for Mac, just on Windows?

Integration with Amazon Storywriter

Amazon has a new cloud-based screenwriting tool: https://storywriter.amazon.com/ You can use it on tablets and phones via the web, and it supports off-line editing via a Chrome App. It supports PDF, FDX and Fountain formats, so that's a way to import to it, although it might be nice if there was mor...

Closing file when there is not enough disk space to save

I'm trying to figure this out. When using Scrivener it will sometimes be unable to automatically save, and then it will close the document without being able to stop it. This seems very strange. If there isn't enough room, why not stop saving and ask the user to clear some disk space? Instead it clo...

Reminders and writing prompts

Writing can be a difficult task, and certainly most writers get stalled from time to time. I've been using an App called Day One which has apps on Mac and iOS, which is a kind of journaling app. You write quick entries that you can tag and which sync seamlessly between platforms. One nice feature is...

Re: Managing multiple projects in the same window

You assume that the second project is open at that moment in a separate window. If I have a few projects I'm working on, and I decide to work on a different project right then, I need to open that project, arrange the window to my liking, and then I can use that shortcut to switch to the other proje...

Managing multiple projects in the same window

If would be nice to be able to switch quickly between multiple projects in the same window. It's fairly common for people to be working on more than one thing at once, and to have to open multiple windows can get complicated. Instead, it would be nice if there was a way to switch projects in the sam...

Re: Why does Scrivener re-load web items?

Yes, but the whole point of a web archive is that it's off-line. Scrivener for some reason is trying to load elements from the original page online, which is what doesn't make sense.

Why does Scrivener re-load web items?

When you drag a web page into Scrivener, it defaults to saving it as a Web Archive. If that's the case, then why does it need to access the net when viewing that same page in Scrivener later? It seems to be loading images from the original web site instead of using what it downloaded originally. If ...
