Gender selection has no effect on the names generated. Are you able to provide reproducible steps. The only way I receive the "No forename lists..." dialog is when I select Japanese Names(Male) from the names list and 'Female' in the Gender , or Japanese Names (Female) from the names list...

To help us narrow this down, please confirm if you experience this crash using a virtual machine:- Parallels, WINE or Fusion? I don't believe any native Windows install are experiencing this crash - correct me if I am wrong.

In the latest build (RC11) it's mostly fixed; however, I just noticed it still breaks for em-dashes and ellipses.

Just to be clear, Tiho's mention of the next release pertains to RC11 not the current RC10 (which was released yesterday); this fix just missed the RC10 release unfortunately.
