That works.
Many thanks for doing this and being so patient about it.

Re: export text with headings and separator

Your program worked fine with your file. I changed your file Separator from SEPARATOR to ###. Saved the file in a folder and then imported it into my file. Then tried it with mine, no luck. NO ###. Went back, downloaded your file again, saved the command file to a folder, opened up a small version o...

I am getting What I am getting is ------------------ Blank line Formatted text from the Main Window (which is NOT the same as the Binder text title) Blank Line Formatted text from the Main Window... ------------------- There is NO obvious separator I NEE...

Is no one willing to try and answer this question, or is it just not possible to do.

export text with headings and separator

I want to export a series of sections, each with the heading (what is written in the binder) plus the associated text. I want to have a section separator so that each pair of heading + text is by itself AND that the section separator is also printed e.g. SEPARATOR: Binder Title: text SEPARATOR: Bind...

Re: Scrivener iOS starts inappropriately when I click on a pdf when browsing in iCloud.

Thanks for your reply. However, in the case you describe where Scrivener is the 'default', EVERY pdf should open in Scrivener when I click on it but that is not the case. Opening or not opening seems almost random, but is frequent. Do you know where do I find the preference setting on an iPad as to ...

Scrivener iOS starts inappropriately when I click on a pdf when browsing in iCloud.

Frequently, when I click on a pdf in iCloud, Scrivener will pop up and say that there is No project open to receive the pdf. This happens when Scrivener is not open and is a real pain in the posterior, almost to the degree that I am considering deleting Scrivener. It 'butts in' where it has no busin...

Re: Scriv 3, the Forum and the new 'Flatter' look

Agree strongly with the need for higher contrast or a strong black font. If the appearance was like the menu fonts list on the "post a reply" page it would be fine. At my age (probably not the oldest user of this forum) my eyes have a very hard time reading the material, so PLEASE MAKE THE...

I am looking forward to reading the replies because I at times have similar issues.
Tinderbox is one program to consider. It has a STEEP learning curve but is supposedly very powerful. It might help you do what you want to do.

Good luck

Re: Anything to share about Scrivener 3.0?

The reason why version 3 is not out is because, with all the hype that it is getting, especially with respect to the last few posts about the potency of version 4, Keith is afraid to release 3 because it may not live up to our expectations. As for me, when it comes, it comes. I will happily spend my...

Re: Printing document notes

I don't like Pages; however, that simple answer is unwarranted, as the idea is a good one. I could use Word, or Nisus, or whatever. It is just that I want to keep it all together in one place. I have developed a workaround. I make all my comments as document notes, labelled as to source, and then, w...

Re: Printing document notes

Katherine Thanks for your reply. I have played around with your suggestion and it works, but for me to use the approach as I had described requires a lot of repetition of work (i.e. creating pages in the draft folder and then making links for each slide to the relevant page, and then doing my commen...

Printing document notes

I am revising a powerpoint presentation and am doing so by 1. Creating pdf files of each slide of the powerpoint and importing these pdf files into Scrivener; thus if there are 45 slides in the presentation, there will be 45 separate "pages" imported into Scrivener as pdfs. 2. Reviewing ea...
