Re: change blue editor header highlight to grey?

Oh, so it was! But in 3 there is a bright blue line line at the bottom of the header that makes the whole area jump out as "bluer"… Personally I find this distracting but I guess I can always switch the whole display to greyscale. Meanwhile the more widely-spaced binder is a shame as I can...

change blue editor header highlight to grey?

Hello, I am just trying out Scriv 3 before I upgrade and in split-editor view the header of the selected editor is now highlighted in a blue colour. Is there any way to turn this back to grey like I have it in Scriv 2? I can't seem to find an option for it, and I "need" (want) a totally mo...

Re: Project Search, Search Results & Binder History

2.0 will have ctrl-tab to switch between the binder and editors.

Good news! 8)

Re: Project Search, Search Results & Binder History

Changing that behaviour would have an annoying side-effect for people who are browsing through the Binder looking for something. They would need to be constantly switching back to Binder focus after every selection. I don't quite understand the situation you mean. If they're navigating by cursor do...

Re: Project Search, Search Results & Binder History

1) You can just use cmd-F (normal Find) to go through all results within the document - the search term will be loaded up. So I can! (Although to be picky, it is slightly annoying that, after clicking on a binder document, I then have to click back into the main pane to give it focus before cmd-F (...

Re: Project Search, Search Results & Binder History

When I click on a binder-item result of a Project Search, it would be great if the text could jump automatically to show the first hit in that document.

It would also be great if I could choose to exclude Document Notes from a Project Search.

Re: Scrivener not playful / organic enough?

On the other hand, one thing I do have plans to overhaul for 2.0 is the scratch pad. Thanks to Jesse Grosjean (creator of WriteRoom) for sharing some code with me to enable it to be called up using a key combo from any app, in 2.0 you will be able to invoke it whenever you want. It will also be a l...

Re: Looking for perfect task manager?

Well, I tracked my progress securing all the permissions for my first book in one big MS Word doc and I didn't have an assistant. I guess times change... Btw are you sure you can't do what you want with Things? It sounds almost as though you are searching for the One True Perfect Piece of Software t...

Re: Looking for perfect task manager?

You could actually use OmniFocus or Things or Taskpaper (what I use) and have others work on the same file via a shared folder in Dropbox (that's a referral link: if you sign up to a free account with it we both get more space ;)).

Re: Another file just disappeared

That the delete key deletes something should not, I would think, come as a huge surprise. But this is the behaviour for the backspace key as well as the actual delete key (I assume the latter is true; am typing this on a Macbook with no delete key). Why should pressing backspace send a file to the ...

Re: What software should I get besides Scrivener?

AFAIK it is being maintained but not actively developed by other people as the genius behind it is now working on Google Quick Search Box . Personally I'm happy to stick with Quicksilver for the time being and then switch to GQSB if it gets the really killer features (for me) such as triggers for ap...

Re: Another file just disappeared

Wait... You mean all this time I could have accidentally sent a chapter to the Trash by having it selected and accidentally pressing the delete key? I think I would have panicked mightily before thinking to look in the Trash... <shudders> Cmd-delete sounds like a good idea. ;)
