Re: I don't like it. :(

Duly noted. Honestly didn't mean tobe taken that seriously. Note to self: work on tone or shut up; don't assume people will see your self mockery. Drat.

Re: I don't like it. :(

Heck if the masses actually love the Icon, so be it. If I cared about bad taste to the point where i could feel actual HATE for an app icon, I would have slit my own throat the first time I watched Charlie's Angels, ate a Big Mac or played World of Warcraft. But 1) Scrivener's success is in part fou...

Re: I don't like it. :(

Let's see if I can say this diplomatically. First of all, I really love 2.0. At first I found the changes a bit daunting and I must admit the phrases "feature creep" and "bloat" started seeping into my consciousness. But after reading the very useful documentation/help files/tuto...

Maximium width of title/synopsis column in outline.

I'm lucky enough to be working on a new 27" Imac and have come across a limitation that may not apply to smaller screens. The main Title/Synopsis column in Outlines has an artificial width limit of about nine inches. Would it be possible to change this so we can stretch the field as far as we l...

Freeform Corkboard in Collections? (SOLVED)

Love 2.0, of course. Especially the freeform corkboard. But there seems to be something I don't quite get: Freeform doesn't seem to be consistently available, I'm sure I could choose freeform in collections at some point as a I fiddled around, but now the freeform icon is not even available in the f...

Re: Love it!!! Love it!!! A couple of requests

Not sure what all the fuss is about; for years now, a number of cheap printers have easily printed single index cards. Merlin Mann even did a series of posts about them way back at the dawn of productivity porn. My current Canon mp560 does a sterling job. So I for one am grateful people yowled about...

Re: Outlining in Scrivener 2.0

At least no one has asked Keith to put in any gaming features, though bouncing the scratchpad around does feel quite PONGish to me. In any case, I get the feeling that I'll be able to sort well enough for my purposes. Thanks for the reply; I'll do my best to save any further questions until after th...

Re: Outlining in Scrivener 2.0

Although you could achieve this by running a project search for something common, like the letter 'e', and then loading up the search results (which will be a flat list of course) in the outliner. Sounds like a reasonable approach, Ioa. Could I then sort the results by any field? - which I imagine ...

Re: Outlining in Scrivener 2.0

Outliner column sorting is allowed in 2.0, yes. Good to hear. But does that mean that an entire outline (or subset of one) can be flattened and sorted or that the notes stay indented and sort within each level? If it's the former that would be great - I haven't seen that feature in an outliner sinc...

Re: Scrivener 2.0 - Coming Soon (No, Really)

Thank you. I've had an incredibly annoying itch for something like Scrivener 2.0 since I bought my first 128k Mac in 1984. After 25 years as a writer, I had pretty much given up on finding an app that works the way I do. Scrivener 1.0 helped ease the pain but I still had to rely on various jury-rigg...
