Ioa - Thanks for the detailed description. Very helpful! And I totally agree with your assessment of ligatures on a fixed width font. Seems crazy to me too. I received the 3.0 version of Nitti and I am now ligature free! Bold Monday decided to change the behaviour of the ligatures because many peopl...
I found that after Syncing the Plain Text files back into Scrivener, Ligature gets turned on (I have my documents set with Ligature off). I can fix this by selecting Documents > Convert > Formatting to Default Text Style. Is there a way to configure Scrivener so that Ligature is always off? UPDATE: ...
I too am a long time Scrivener user who's been away from the Forums. Was very excited to read Sean Coffee's post. For the past couple of months I've been experimenting with the Fountain syntax, using iA Writer and the public beta of Highland, and have had a positive experience similar to Sean's. As ...
Thanks... I've used a Split Layout for transcribing audio clips but I completely forgot about that feature when I started thinking of this layout. Initially I encountered a small issue with the column width of the Outline losing the position I'd set and saved within the Layout. It seemed to occur wh...
I was wondering if perhaps someday there could be an additional layout design within Scrivener? This layout would have the Outline positioned along the left edge where the Binder is now located. A single column with adjustable width that displays the Outline with Title and Synopsis. When an Outline ...
Just received an e-mail message announcing... Final Draft iPad App Coming Spring 2011 The Final Draft version 8 mobile app for iOS will work with Final Draft version 8 FDX files, allowing you to make edits and notes on the go for greater mobility. Plus, you can easily move the same script from iPad ...
Not quite there yet. I used Option+D for my document view layout, and Option+S for my Storyboard view layout. When I hit Option+D the Binder steps to the next document/folder that begins with the letter D, and when I hit Option+S the Binder steps to the next document/folder that begins with the lett...
I use two layouts probably 95% of the time. One is a Document View with the Inspector, the other is a Storyboard View. I have them saved in the Layout Panel. But is there a way for me to quickly switch between them without using the Layout Panel or the application menu? The Scrivener manual states u...
Thanks! I was just starting to poke around in the font palette as well, called up directly from a document's text, but with no luck. Here's another observation. By default this problem occurs when I use the Nitti font in the Scrivener and TextEdit application. But in the Mail application the problem...
I understand that once I export my screenplay projects to Final Draft, they will be using the Courier Final Draft font. But while working in Scrivener I would like to use another monospace font. It's just a preference for my eyes! I've selected a font called Nitti which I discovered while using iA W...
OK, I just tried the following... I created a new project using the Screenplay template, deleted the two words "Okay" and "Test" from the auto-complete list, then saved the project as a new template. I then created a new project using that new "clean" template, and the ...
Here's what's happening at my end. When I create a new project using the Screenplay template, the auto-complete list is populated with the two words "Okay" and "Test". After deleting them from the list, close and reopen that project, the auto-complete list is still empty. So it's...
Good call Keith. It is in a project created from the Screenplay template. And yes, when I call up the project auto-complete list, the words "Okay" and "Test" are there. I just deleted those two words from the list and voila -- they no longer appear. Thanks!
