Re: Welcome to our new team member - our iOS developer

Wow! Pressure sensitive stylus for my art and scrivener for my writing. Fewer and fewer reasons to go back to my MacBook each evening! Great work gang!

Re: Multiple colors to outline a story

I kept it simple myself. I created a document for chapter and changed the "label" category tag to be "Plot line". I then created several plot lines, for the protagonist, antagonist and exposition (chapters devoted to events known only to the reader and not related directly to the...

Re: Font size

I experienced the same issues as well. Web pages on my MBP 15" at 1680x1050 felt very small and difficult to read. I had to set the minimum font size in safari to be 14 points to ensure it read well. For scrivener I often worked at 125% but have chosen to use Optima Pro at 16pt. Optima is a sof...

Re: blowing my mind!

I know how you feel. Scrivener has been by far one the greatest pieces of software I've ever purchased. As an artist I paint and model all day, so I love to come home and flex my creativity in writing: game design, short stories, a novel, etc... Never have I seen a single piece of software with so m...

Re: Page Count on Footer Bar?

Thank you for the reply Keith! Is this a feature exclusive to 2.0 or does it exist in 1.0 as well, and I'm simply unable to figure out how to enable it? When you say "Page view", you're referring to the window which displays the text of a document, correct?

Page Count on Footer Bar?

I've searched the forums but found only people mentioning it'd be a nice feature, so I'd like to add it to the wish list officially. I'd very much like to be able to display the page count down by the word and character count on the footer bar below the workspace. This value would be identical to wh...

Re: The Magic Trackpad (hardware, obviously)

A year or so ago I also came down with a bad case of Tendonitis in my wrists and general hands which forced me to reduce my video game play time down considerably. Looking for every ergonomic fix I could find, I upgraded my home desk to something with a corner curve to support my right arm's elbow (...

Re: PAGE LAYOUT VIEW- One question

Does full-page mode support a dual-page layout style? I cannot really see the benefit of this other then to help the author visually track his page count and for some layout purposes.

Re: Outlining in Scrivener 2.0

That's great to hear. Working on a novel with two lengthy storyline's that often intertwine and having some way to sort amid the many sections of the outline would be helpful. Till now I've been working in a numbered list format within a scriv file to write the outline of events in each chapter, the...

Re: Customizable Formatting Tools Pallet

Thanks for your reply KB! I was actually referring to duplicating the font panels functions onto the toolbar across the top of the editor window. Just like we have underline, bold and italic toggles available there; I'd love to see other attributes exposed on that bar. I might have used the wrong te...

Customizable Formatting Tools Pallet

It would be fantastic if we could add or remove elements from the Formatting Tools Pallet when it's displayed. I sometimes wish to color code text in my documents, but the floating Font Attributes window is unwieldy. If I could choose to have font color, size, etc. displayed there or not in a system...

Applying numbered list formatting?

Hi guys, first time posting here. :) Be gentle. I find my work style flows best through the use of an outline to get my ideas down and evaluate their flow and structure before I dive in. I have found in the past numbered lists are ideal for me as they allow me to not be slowed down by interface elem...
