I'm really not sure if this is a bug or not. I opened an older project last night and saw that some double quotes were represented by paired single quotes. In this case it's almost all closing quotes, so they are simply two apostrophes/single quotes together. When I tried to run find and replace on ...
Hi, guys! When I start the HiDPI version RC7 I get the following dialog: crash2.png I have to click OK four times to dismiss the dialog. I'm running Windows 10 2004. After rebooting and facing the same error, I uninstalled the HiDPI version (which I was very anxious to try) and installed the regular...
OK, none of this is criticism of L&L or the beta program. I just want to make sure that's understood. I've recently gone back to 1.9.9, only because I like the look and feel a bit better than the beta, and I'm actually tired of upgrading every week or two. I don't hate the new look and feel, and...
I'm considering getting one of these to continue writing my novel. At the moment my 'process' is to handwrite into notebooks on the way to work. I tried using a laptop. But somehow it changed my writing style, and I didn't enjoy it as much. Handwriting in notebooks has been much more effective. I'v...
Hello all, Today I noticed that all older versions of scrivener are still installed on my machines, so it seems that every time I am forced to install the latest update by srivener, it actually re-installs from scratch and leaves all older versions intact. Is that correct and I should manually remo...
I've always been a monospace fan, and a Windows user, and I love Courier...but not Courier New (ugly, thin, anorexic font). I use Courier Prime whenever I can. It was originally developed for John August, a screenwriter, and a Mac user as well, so I'm sure it moves between Windows and Mac just fine...

Yesterday I tried to use my Scrivener, 3.0 beta and guess what, it would not open. My version stopped working on Sep 30, and on Oct 1 it was dead. Now I was forced to go to the website, try to find the download button for beta, which would not tell me if it was version 3 or 1.9. Then I had to hunt ...
Charging more would do nothing to speed up development, and often the case, neither does throwing more developers at a problem. Obviously not true. If it was true, then Microsoft would have only one developer employed. Someone doesn't know much about either (a) software development or (b) computer ...
Just to add a datapoint to this discussion, I just installed Scrivener 3 beta 23 on Mint 19 using Crossover, into a 64-bit Windows 10 bottle. It installed as easily as it does under straight Windows, and works just fine.
Does the Macintosh manual give valid (or at least close) documentation for Windows beta compiler settings? As nice as the tutorial is (and I've learned a lot from it), I'm getting frustrated trying to fine tune a compiler format. Before I ask in detail here, I wanted to try to solve it myself. Not h...
Just installed the latest beta after a month or two away from Scrivener. I applied dark mode and restarted, and noticed unavailable menu options are blurry or shadowy -- not sure how to describe it, like if they were blue and red they might be 3D with the proper eyewear. Here is a screenshot, which...
This looks like the same problem I reported in https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=58224. Sorry, Tiho, I never saw your reply to that message until now. I will take this as a more comprehensive error report and look forward to a fix in RC2. My problem was only ever reco...
On the latest beta, of course. I am saving to a folder synced via Dropbox so I can use my iPad as well. Every time I open my current project in Windows, it tells me "Files were recovered. While the project was opening, files were detected within the project package that do not exist in the bind...
