Re: My wishlist

As for ToC, that is indeed the domain of a full word processing or layout program such as Word, and should be generated after you compile and export. I think the thing about styles and Table of Contents is this: In Word, you need to apply styles to headings in order to generate a ToC. Working in Sc...

Thought you might want to update/remove this text from the product page:

Automatic Snapshot Naming

Not sure if this is possible: It would be very useful that when "Take Snapshots of All Text Documents" is selected, it automatically renames the Snapshot Title to "Draft 1", "Draft 2", etc. Very useful for when you take a snapshot of all text documents right before edit...

Re: Working off of network drives (MobileMe; DropBox...)

Could Sente's new synchronization feature shed some light on the technical feasibility of syncing for Scrivener, with copies on both computers open?

Re: Legal Pad background for the Main Editor

Even in the form that is displayed in the example, I would like that. I don't use multiple font sizes since I export everything to LaTeX anyways. Why not have it as a preference with an explanation that multiple font sizes may produce peculiar results?

I like the new tabs feature btw.

Re: Files still here - all text missing

In follow up to Jaysen's question: Any chance you were running Scrivener from the mounted disk image, rather than having it installed in the Applications folder. That might describe why the first time you were able to recover your file off Time Machine (it being properly installed), while in the lat...

Re: UPDATED: Scrivener 1.5 beta 6 now available

Hi Keith, I noticed this in 1.11, and came here and it is still in this beta. 1. Drag PDF into project notes. 2. Enter Fullscreen. 3. Open Inspector, and select Project Notes. 4. Resize the Inspector and make it bigger The result is the PDF does not actually resize. However, if you then exit Full Sc...

Re: ScrivNote for iPhone - feedback requested!

You can already read Scrivener projects on your iPhone. It's not a perfect setup, and I haven't tested the method thoroughly, but it works for me. 1. When you're ready to export your project to the iPhone/Touch set the font in Preferences to something like 36 point. Leave everything else untouched. ...

Ctrl-Opt-Cmd-8 or http://osx.iusethis.com/app/download/10866

nocturne does a better job at making it look nice

OR

download DarkAdapted if you don't like the inverted colour scheme

Layout doesn't save zoom level

Hi Keith, After more than a year, I continue to the love the program. It's got so much flexibility for my different writing situations that makes it soar above any of its competitors. Keep up the great work! Not sure if this is a bug or intended behaviour: When I save a layout and check "Save w...

Label idea is interesting, though I would suggest it would be for annotations only, and not footnotes. A footnote that is a reference often has to be formatted a certain way (in academic writing), with the editor/journal-specific syntax. So a colon, period, slash, parentheses etc. are often part of ...

I will vote for the translucent/faded text solution. Also, I support the idea that Scrivener should be a writer's tool, not a WYSIWYG editor. When writing/editing, inline footnotes and annotations are needed. I need to see whether this footnote belongs here, or should be moved. When I cut and paste ...
