Tooltip Bug?

I cant reproduce this every single time but these are long title strings that get copied because I drag a paragraph or two into a new section.

Re: new beta?

If your philosophy applied to the rest of the world, us writers and librarians would be out of work.

Not a fan of this replacement icon but I hope some good alternative icons make their way to the board.

Perhaps we can get a slightly more on-topic thread going for the posting of alternative icons.

Interesting, in Scrivener it is going to Lucida 13, in Textedit to Helvetica 12.

What an annoying bug! :)

Funny, I'm encountering the same defaulting-to-Lucida-Grande in Leopard. Not using bullets, but it might be related to pressing ctrl-return when I want to start a newline without the double space.

It is reproducible, though I assume this is an Apple bug.

1. Type some text
2. Ctrl-return a couple times
3. Type some text, press return again, type more text
4. Use mouse to click back to a line where you pressed ctrl-return
5. Say hello to lucida grade 13pt.

Dragging Images from Safari

Not sure if this is considered a bug, but I have been unable to find any discussion of it on the forums. When dragging an image into the Binder from Safari, Scrivener appears to try importing it as a webpage: "Error importing web page: The web page 'http://------/map.jpg' could not be imported....

It also has only a tiny fraction of Scrivener's functionality, so of course its preference panel is going to be simpler. If you look at the panels for similar applications, you'll find a similarly vast array of options. Katherine Wow. I'd certainly debate that about Adium. In fact I see more choice...

Miles, I did not mean to upset anybody, I don't think you sensed the jest nor the self-deprecation in my post. I also think you may have missed my point. I love Scriv and I think I've provided valuable feedback: its preferences window is indeed the most crowded of the apps I use regularly. Think abo...

Too many preferences?

One thing I can't seem to find discussion of is the preferences window. Granted, I'm sure you've had plenty of forum posts begging for more options to tinker with, but I for one find the preferences overwhelming. In this I mean I'm scared to touch anything lest I alter some precious default. Fonts &...
