For Scrivener, I have swapped the shortcuts for Paste and Past and Match Style , because I almost always want the latter. This is a great idea. I hate fiddling with the styles, constantly fixing issues because I did a simple paste. I wish the default was to match style. I’m going to do this as well...
Scrivener won't auto-detect/create links but you can add internal links to your character/location sheets. On Mac, right-click on the word you want to link to the character or location sheet; select "link to document". If you are using character name for example, and have a character shee...
I love using character and location sheets to keep track of important information but I hate searching out the sheets in a long binder. Ideally, I'd love to have Scrivener autodetect names of people and places within the manuscript and create links to the relevant sheets that, when clicked on, open ...
I don't use DTP as an all around place to store things. Maybe that's the difference. I use it as an alternative to Scrivener's "research" folder to store the (sometimes voluminous) materials related to specific projects. I've found it doesn't work as well (for me) as a general "every...
I’d love to have my writing goals come up in my Apple notifications along with prompts to keep me on target. I’d love these prompts to appear on both my Mac and iOS devices including my Apple Watch. Encouraging phrases like “only 1,000 words left to meet your daily target!” or “You haven’t written y...
I was just thinking about this today. An iOS app would be great or, at the very least, adding Scrivener to the Apple Notes and Safari share sheets (and others). On the Mac, I'd love to see the Scratch Pad as a menubar item that I open and close as needed.
I adore Scrivener and have been using it since 2009. The targets are my favourite part of the app and provide a surprising amount of motivation. I'd love to see more integration with MacOS and iOS with widgets and reminders. I think it would be great to have a notification widget for Mac that showed...
I'm totally doing this. Just finished NaNoWriMo today. This is my third year. I have still to actually complete a Final Draft. This time, though, I'm going to work on my character sketches over December and head right into January with 85k90 using this existing 50k of drivel I've just spit up and ac...
I've created a custom style and it's showing up in the list of styles with a white highlight. I have two other custom styles that are showing up fine. I made a test one with italics (no other style except the one with the highlight error has italics) and it, too, is highlighted although, in this cas...
I am using styles to accomplish a lite version of a checklist. In the list format options, you can use a checkmark for a bullet. Save this as a style. Now you can use it on individual list items to mark something as checked. It's work around but it works.
Ah! I wasn't going into the print dialogue. I don't have a printer. This is the functionality I was looking for, just a little hidden. Thanks! Any thoughts on using the Share Sheet for this in both MacOS and iOS? That's the expected spot for sharing content to other apps and is cross platform. It wo...
Hi all, I am loving the new Scrivener! I would dearly love a safari extension that I can use while I'm researching. I would like to save as website or PDF and automatically add to an open Scrivener project in the Research folder. Something that works like Evernote would be ideal but just a basic sha...
