Re: What are you writing?

I met someone at a party who said a friend was making quite good money writing erotica and selling it on Amazon. Well, I rushed home and stopped working on the great novel. Thirty-two days and 82,000 words later I uploaded 'The FIFI CODE: A novel of love and lust for people who love people'. It was ...

Back from the bush and all fixed. It was indeed the wrong sign-in email address as you suggested. Thanks.

Advice re reloading iPad after total reset

Recently suffered a meltdown of my iPad requiring a complete reboot from the Apple dealer here in Sydney. I am able to retrieve apps from the Apps Store but the purchased Scrivener app does not appear there. When I originally purchased it I also loaded a copy to the iPhone which is working just fine...

Doing something other than writing ...

I'm now into my fourth year on the big work. Sometimes I manage a couple of months intense work but increasingly I've found that I can do better doing shorter stints with a different activity spacing each session. I am able to travel within the country - Australia - and also to spend time away in an...

Re: Ghostnote

Yes you might be right about the lack of sound. I think I was trying to watch the clip in a busy space and I found it moved too quickly. I will try again. Thanks.

Re: Ghostnote

Looks good but I was disappointed that I couldn't get the sound to work on the video promo. Tried different browsers and my system is ok, so a bit confused. Sent them a message. Hope they got it. Any suggestions welcomed.

Re: The joy of writing with an iPad

No more sitting for me. Got a terrible back problem a couple of years ago as the result of too much sitting. Now I stand or sometimes perch on a stool at a higher bench. Means your legs are moving and carrying some of your weight. I too use an iPad with bluetooth keyboard when I'm away from home. Ch...

Re: software to change characters speech patterns?

What characters say and how they say it is really your call. Guess that is what writing is all about. Be interested to see if you come up with anything though. Cheers.

Re: British English: casual house clothes ?

The Aussie term for tracksuit pants — note that "pants" doesn't mean the same in Australia as Britain, and we wouldn't say "tracksuit bottoms" because it just sounds wrong — is "trakky daks". trakky = tracksuit daks = trousers Nom, that is just about the coolest thing ...

Read PDF while typing text

Hi. Just started using Notes Plus (handwriting) on iPad and exporting to Dropbox as PDF for typing or reading/dictating into a Scrivener project. It might be a simple thing but I haven't found out how-to yet, that is, how to display the PDF in a window to read from whilst working/entering text on th...

Link to L&L Home Page?

Might be that I can't see it but I would like there to be a link back to the L&L Home page from the Forum. Please tell me if I've missed something.

Cheers from down under.
