I'll admit I'm not a fan of this flat look, but I'm looking clclampbell's screenshot and can't see how anyone can't see the older look is so much more clear and readable than this new psychedelic look. Either you have a big slab of, say yellow, with no separation, or a rainbow of colors overwhelming...
I really like the ability to use lined notes, but why only on document notes (which I rarely use) and not on project notes (which I use all the time). Why were they taken away in Scriv 3? Or maybe I'm missing something? They're so much easier to read. And lines on scratchpad (or even regular files) ...
hmmm, I only had console/scriv/firefox open ... I wonder if a particular webpage being open could do it? Facebook, maybe? I'll play around and see ... I checked my login items, that start whenever I start my mac, and I have iTunesHelper (whatever that is), and LogitechRegReminder ... I'll definitely...
Okay, I'm not a real techie sort, so I opened the console app you mentioned, and didn't see anything warning-like (but I admit I don't know how to read it really)... But here's what happened today -- I re-booted my computer, and here's the actions I took right before the scratchpad froze... 1) I ope...
One of the things I've tried to find within Scrivener is a way to have a floating window open for notes while in non-Scrivener apps. (So I don't have to resort to "Stickies") While Quickref windows would be perfect, the fact that they disappear when you click another app (even a calculator...
I'm curious about this as well... I have an early 1.5 (or whatever) scrivener that I paid for ... I also have the (ends-Dec 7-version) Scrivener 2.0, which I've created lots of new files with... ...so if I upgrade, does it create a third version, or does it alter one of these two other versions? And...
Oh, I was hoping the quote from AmberV about "typing normally in index cards without the opt-key stuff" included tabs. I'm surprised that people don't use "tab" on their index cards, even by accident. I sure do! I use tabs, for one reason, as a novelist, it's ingrained whenever y...
Wow, I love the index cards. Before 2.0, I never used them, but the colors and changes have made a world of difference. I've set up a row of quite inviting cards of different colors that I love typing in--easy, convenient, and visually fun. Here's the question... I've been able to reset it so that I...
Hmmm, the control-arrow doesn't do anything at all. I can move stuff with the mouse if I "ouline mode" a folder with stuff in it, but not if I "shift" a bunch of separate files --they show up as an outline, but they will only let me nest each other, nothing between. I guess that'...
Arrg! I don't get it... I get it all set up, outline mode, nice and organized, and at first, I can move stuff freely up and down... ... and then, it abruptly it won't let me move an outline line "between" other lines, instead insisting on "nesting" it, no matter how carefully I t...
I notice it's pretty easy to change the look of Project Notes, color, lines and such... ... but despite looking in preferences and the manual, I can't find any way of changing the color, fonts, look of the scratch pad. The color especially is a little, well... drab, and since it's the only part of S...
