Re: Highlight Keyword in Document

Okay, don't panic everybody. I just found the little drop down arrow on the magnifying glass in the keyword popup. I should have ticked the 'search all content' item, which now highlights the keywords as required.

Highlight Keyword in Document

Not sure if this has already been dealt with. I am using keywords and quite happy with the way they work. However, when I search for a keyword, the binder shows the chapters of the binder where the keywords have been allocated. Well and good. However, I want the keyword for the indicated chapter to ...

Re: Comments not deleting properly

Thanks so much for the reply. I did as suggested and was able to get rid of the linked text. It was driving me crazy. I have only just updated to Catalina, so this was the first time that I have noticed it.
Thanks again.
Best Regards.

Comments not deleting properly

I have some comments highlighted in my ms. When I delete them, using the (x) in the Inspector pane, the comment highlight is removed. One of two things happen after this. 1) After some time, minutes maybe, the text that was previously highlighted as a comment, now turns blue and is underlined. There...

Re: Split screen in IOS

Thanks for all the answers, guys. What a great bunch of people to have on this forum. Okay, I've got it now. I didn't realise that you had to swipe sloooowly. Also it helps a lot if you only swipe part way so that you get the "More' button and the 'Move' button to appear together. If you do it ...

Split screen in IOS

I have read and re-read all the documentation and I still am unable to display 2 documents side by side within Scrivener. I have read the tutorial and the steps do not make any sense. I have looked at the on-line forums and nobody can explain step by step how to get a second document next to another...

Compare Documents Feature Missing

Can you please, please, please, provide a decent compare feature. A writer who gets his/her ms edited by professional editors needs to be able to compare the original text with the edited text, without having to do a snapshot and all the other totally unintuitive process of doing a compare using the...

Re: Compare Documents

Hi, Thanks for the in depth reply. After describing it to me, do you now understand why I call it clumsy? Okay, I will give it a go on a new project. Thanks again for your effort with that. I would never have figured that out.

Re: Compare Documents

I have a taken a snapshot of the edited chapter to compare it with the current document in the editor, which is supposed to be possible with the compare function. No matter what I do, I cannot get this to work. The help manual says to compare a snapshot with the document in the current editor, you s...

Compare Documents

I have a book in Scrivener, which is in chapters. I have had one chapter edited (in MS Word) and I have imported that chapter back into Scrivener. I now have the original chapter on the left editor and the edited version on the right editor (vertical split screen). Apart from having to use a snapsho...

Re: Jump to Top of Page in iPad Editor

Thanks for the extra info, Amber. The command up and down keys work, the Fn key does not. I am using a ClamCase Pro, which I suppose may have the keys implemented differently. Thanks again for your reply. My frustration using Scrivener on the iPad has dissipated. Ha.

Re: Total project word count?

Hi. Thanks for that. Yes, I was aware that all my files had to be in the binder. Yes I was aware how to get the various stats out, I just could not get the total. The problem, as you correctly suggested, was that the chapters didi not have the ‘Include in Complie’ set. Once I did that I was able to ...

Re: Jump to Top of Page in iPad Editor

Okay, I found the top of the screen . It is right at the top, almost off the screen. I suppose using the smaller iPad makes it more difficult to access, but I have it now. Thanks.

Re: Jump to Top of Page in iPad Editor

Hi Amber,
I am using the IOS version. I have a keyboard attached to my iPad mini, but there is no HOME key. Also using the CMD shift key combo does nothing. Also tapping the top of the screen only brings up the target gadget.

Jump to Top of Page in iPad Editor

Is there some way to jump to the top of the page when using the editor, or just reading, on the iPad? At the moment I have to continue finger scrolling ad nauseum to get back to the top of the page.
I do a lot of writing on this device, and a top of page jump, would be welcome.
Best regards
