Re: Help! Word count for chapters has disappeared!

Thanks. I suspect in a fit of typing, I managed to hit CMD-3 and fell into the screenwriter segment, which I didn't even know was there. I depend on Scrivener, but I've barely scratched the surface of what it can do. I run the living daylights out of it with the bits I use, though.

Help! Word count for chapters has disappeared!

I'm on an insane deadline, but everything was going along. Now suddenly, the wordcounts at the bottom of each chapter have disappeared. Image of the bottom bar, below. http://hollylisle.com/jpg/missing-wordcount.jpg I have been depending on these to keep me on target (I use the total work wordcount ...

But Keith, how would you get the "kerching" when you whang the platen* back to the right? It would only happen at the end of a paragraph, and that wouldn't be right... Hell, I miss whacking the return bar. Typing is nowhere near as /v/i/o/l/e/n/t/ physical as it used to be, and that makes...

P.S. Who's Ken? :)

Oops. Sorry, Keith. Ken is the mastermind at my webhost, Tigertech.

I was thinking "brilliant guy."

Just named the wrong one.

Just fired Scrivener up to get my work done for the day, and there was 1.10 waiting for me. Sweet.

Cheers, Ken. Very excited about the new version.

Oh. By the way, kick ass in NaNoWriMo. I'm cheering for you.

I'll go check. In the meantime, I just put a copy here for you. By the way, the version done with Scrivener is much prettier. This excerpt had to be run through my affiliate program software, and it's lost a lot of its elegance. And its direct link to Scrivener, which is live in the complete commerc...

Not to worry. I'm doing both. :D

And tell them I said "Hi," and I'm really happy they like my books.

Re: Here's a writer mentioning Scrivener on her site

Holly Lisle mentions Scrivener a number of times on her site and says she's writing her current novel using it. Thought you'd like to know. http://hollylisle.com/writingdiary2/index.php/2007/05/12/wow-found-a-new-scrivener-thing/ Yeah, I love Scrivener. The most useful writing tool I've found since...

Hah! That solves it. I'd gone through the documentation, searching for "search and replace", and couldn't find anything. Hadn't found the Find menu.

Nothing like searching for the wrong term.

Thank you.

Minor search changes?

I have two requests/ wish items: First, having search jump to each found instance would be huge (if there's a way to do this, I haven't found it). For example, I want to do a global change from the character name Heddara to Kafite . Currently, I have to scroll manually through a document that runs a...

Zoom and Full Screen

I've checked the manual and the boards, and cannot find a way to zoom the text in full screen mode. Is there a way?

Thanks for any help you can offer.
