Re: Question: Scrivener 3 (Windows) pandoc compile processing options?

I briefly tested porting my Pandoc workflow system to work on Windows, but during the beta the post-processing panel was completely broken... Scrivener (at least on macOS) does not use the user path, but the default system path, so you need to ensure you specify an absolute path to the pandoc execut...

Re: Obsidian and RoamResearch

Does anyone have experience with Dendron, an open-source system based on the totally wonderful VS Code:

It appears opinionated but flexible.

Re: Pandoc/Scrivomatic: header/footer content mingling (plus fusion of documents)

toc-title is the metadata used for LaTeX and HTML templates, and perhaps works for DOCX even though it is a less flexible output format: title: <$title> author: <$author> toc-title: "Test title" pandocomatic: use-template: [docx, latex] pandoc: table-of-contents: true toc itself is a stra...

Re: Scrivener and zotero to docx workflow (apple silicon)

Yeah, being able to better visualise applied inline styles is a big wishlist item of mine for the next version of Scrivener (what Word call "styles guides", alongside their direct formatting guides). Regarding Bookends, why not just use Zotero as an intermediate for scanning and then trans...

Re: Pandoc/Scrivomatic: header/footer content mingling (plus fusion of documents)

Although I puzzle about it since the items I used are listed as header/footers in the manual But Header and Footer fields are for Scrivener controlled formats, not markdown. In this case Scrivener can calculate which section, which page and calculate the contents accordingly. Markdown has no such c...

Re: Scrivener and zotero to docx workflow (apple silicon)

According to a web search most JDKs support Rosetta 2, why can't you use any of those? I use adoptopenjdk and it works fine with LibreOffice (though I have an Intel Mac so I have no idea of any M1-specific gotchas). Is LibreOffice the latest version, as I know there was a macOS fix recently to suppo...

Re: Pandoc/Scrivomatic: header/footer content mingling (plus fusion of documents)

all the other placeholders like chapter-numbers or figure numbers, word count, name and date are correctly transformed. Yes, the placeholders you specified can only be used by Scrivener's own compiler header and footers: Screen Shot 2021-03-16 at 14.25.47.png You need to use other Word fields to tr...

I also agree these threads are better placed in the Markdown forum! 8)

Re: Scrivomatic on tables and figures: cross-referencing and a list of figures

I don't personally use pandoc-crossref, but use Scrivener's numbering placeholders for almost all my needs so the data is "baked in" before Pandoc gets hold of it. I have not therefore heavily tested or kept my crossref example up-to-date. My general way to test stuff is to break it down t...

Re: Pandoc/Scrivomatic: header/footer content mingling (plus fusion of documents)

Any thoughts on that?

Is it only those placeholders that have problems? Some placeholders may depend on print formats for compile? Perhaps a minimal test case scrivener project would help.

Re: Pandoc/Scrivomatic: header/footer content mingling (plus fusion of documents)

My .DOCX template ([here](https://github.com/iandol/dotpandoc/blob/master/templates/custom.docx)) uses a standard Word field-code to insert the document title (edit the footer, then show the field codes and you will see it). For some annoying reason Word doesn't update field codes when opening a doc...

Re: New writing font for monospace lovers...

BTW, I don't know when it changed (seems fairly recent) but it seems that 'brew cask' no longer works, as I found out when I tried to install these fonts. Ah, right you are (I copied and pasted from the older post without engaging brain)! In fact you do not even need --cask any more. The cask comma...

Aaaaand a really interesting project, a "realistic" typewriter font that uses opentype alternatives so each glyph is replaced from a pool of 9 alternatives for each character: https://ctrlcctrlv.github.io/TT2020/docs/moreinfo.html Also available on homebrew: > brew tap homebrew/cask-fonts ...

OK, the TTF version (still 0.016 release) doesn't exhibit this bug in TextEdit:

Re: Inconsistent handling of "closed" ligatures.

I also can't see this problem using the EB Garamond OTFs released by Octavio Pardo (the ones commisioned by Google). But that is based on Garamond-12. I also tested in TextEdit as I do still have Duffner's 0.16 version (though not activated by default): Screenshot 2021-03-13 at 07.55.42.png This is ...
