I have the same problem. I had it working with two files, but as soon as I added a third one, it crashed on both my iPhone and iPad. I have the latest devices and the latest versions but there seems to be no cure. I have read everything in this thread, but I have yet to hear of a solution or clarity...
I am a charter user of Scrivener but always struggle with seeing ACTUAL word count in the outlner and in scrivenings. The apparent number INCLUDES annotations, etc. I know I can click at the bottom of a scrivenings or draft session to see the ACTUAL word count w/o annotations, but why can't I get th...
it's also slow elsewhere, as in switching layouts in which the shift is almost interminable. I have no other performace issues and have never experienced this with Scrivner as a charter user and advocate from the beginning. I have rebooted, there is plenty of available RAM and memory but nothing see...
I'm not aware of other changes I may have made, although I'm not sure. In previous versions, I've never noticed any other settings interfering with keyword chips.
Under View>Corkboard Options>I have checked both "Show Label Colors along edges" AND "Show Keyword Colors", but on the Corkboard, none of the key word colors show up?
Must be a bug because I don't know of any other options to make that selection?
When I use the Layout>"Outline Left, the Outline Results Right", and click on a document in the Left Editor, the document does NOT show up in the Right Editor as it always has.
I've tried everything I can think of but nothing works.
The latest Scrivener manual includes this Pro Tip: Pro Tip: If you change the “URL” for internal links (which otherwise just state “[Inter- nal Link]” in the URL field) to a single asterisk, that item will be placed at the very top of the header bar icon menu. If accessed from there, it will load th...
Thanks, gr. Disappointing ... but as to the reason, I find it helpful to see how the cumulative pages are stacking up as I progress through the book. Given the typical fiction targets of 90,000 words or so, and the general 3 act structures that usually unfold whether we like it or not, knowing that ...
I thought that Word Count and Total Word Count would be different in Outline mode, but they are identical. I'd like Word Count to be for each chapter and Total Word Count to be the cumulative amount for that chapter and all preceding chapters. The only way I know to get the totals is to select the c...
All of sudden, Scrivener is being very slow to respond to even the most modest command, like inserting the cursor to change or add a word, and everything else. My file is about 550mb? Is that simply too large? It has been >500mb for some time and I'm on a full speed 27" iMac with all the memory...
Hello, I've read the manual thoroughly, and looked for other forum ideas, but can't seem to resolve this one. I think I get that I can use a special "Scrivener Swatch" for custom colors, and I can name them as I choose. The challenge is that I can't easily associate the "color" (...
Keith, I agree that this is a real irritation since keywords are integral to tracking material in Scrivener. I use the name of a character as a keyword but also use "Intro: Character Name" and "Mention: Character Name" to track when they're first introduced and when they're menti...
I could swear that I read somewhere the comments can be color-coded AND found by color but I have tried it and it doesn't seem to work. While you can search annotations and highlights by color, there's doesn't seem to be that capability for comments, so that the only real value of coloring comments ...
Thanks. That's what I figured ... and that's what I've done but I appreciate the confirmation on the snapshot. It's good to be clear that the snapshots are associated specifically with the document and not the file ... so when the document goes, so goes the snapshots.
