Re: The status of the next update and 2.0

Outrageous! Unheard of! In the sorry history of upgrades and upgrade pricing, this has to be...a bargain. If you want twenty bucks from me for all your hard work, you've got it. Can't wait. Can't hold out much longer. Losing...oxygen...everythings turning brown...must...have...it... Michael Cox Vanc...

Thanks Keith for getting back to me. So I guess what I'll do since I want to use Scrivener as much as possible, is to create a journal in it, and then export it perhaps as html. I certainly don't want to suggest blogging as another feature because I know you have always maintained that this is a wri...

upload to blog?

Does anyone know if we can upload from Scrivener to a weblog such as WordPress or Blogger or whatever? I don't see it as an option, but I'm wondering if there is a workaround. Currently using Macjournal to do this, because I want to write something on the home turf and keep the file there, but also ...

its like an early Christmas

Wow, Keith, it's great, and well worth the wait (well, it was a bit long coming, but I know, I know, you're a perfectionist and so are all the others who have contributed ideas and feedback to the beta). Thank you, once again, for your dedication and hard work. This is one of the best applications f...

I have Mellel and I agree its got a very clean interface and display of text. I didn't realize Abi was "old" in the software sense of the word. Anyway, it was just another afternoon of NOT WRITING but PLAYING on the computer...back to work, again, using Scrivener's beta.

AbiWord

AbiWord is a new, open source word processing application that aims to do much of what MS Word, Nisus and other full-featured apps do. I downloaded the most recent iteration and gave it a very cursory whirl, and the first thing that hit me was how the text looked in both VIEW: Normal and VIEW: prin...

Read on...from the read me file included with the beta download. (I also tend to try something before reading instruction manuals.) "When you first open an older project in 1.1, you will be asked to update the project to the newer format. A backup will automatically be made of your old project,...

Dummy question, but that never stopped me before: will this update projects created on 1.03 and if so, can I still open them in the stable, older release if I find myself getting buggered in the beta? (So to speak)

...for my way of writing there's already plenty of possibilities there to mark certain sections ... Understandably, Scrivener does do those quite well, but what I am facing is already broken into chapters, but just locating the last bit I worked on in each chapter is a pain: for example, I may be i...

Canajian, oui, eh? Moi aussi. Is there another technique you use to locate stuff in a long document, or one with many parts/chapters to it?

bookmark or marker

It would be neat if I could add, from the Insert...menu, a marker of some sort in the text when I need to leave it and go elsewhere, either to another document or when I close the window or shut down the app. Something cool like a coloured tab. I find myself scrolling up and down to find where I lef...

Your application has more than proven itself in the hands of real writers, students, web designers and others who've also contributed to the continuing success of your forum. I don't think you need to worry about such a modest increase. Considering what Microsoft charges for Word, or the full Office...
