Re: default to scrivenings mode

Please do let us know what steps we need to take in order to see the behaviour as you describe. None of us have ever seen it work that way, and the software isn't programmed to work that way in a general sense---so it'll take something a little out of the ordinary I'm sure, some clue we're all missi...

Re: Compile a Synopsis

In the compiler there are only two steps: ⋅  Select the outline style in the format list: one of “Enumerated Outline”, “Full Indented Outline” or “Outline Document”. ⋅  Click “Assign Section Layouts”, and probably just select everything in the right sidebar and choose which numbe...

Re: Delay in context menu

Maybe this older thread will shed some light . Granted, I don’t think a resolution was ever found, only a culprit: the “Share” menu. I don’t even know where that is set up to be honest. I don’t think it is the Extensions:Share Menu section—I think that’s just for the share buttons you see here and t...

Re: Problems deselecting text in Notes in Quick Reference Panel

Do you mean in Comments and Footnotes? I don’t really see any difference between the Notes pane behaviour and the main text editor for that matter. You click somewhere and the text deselects. But, then again I don’t have a problem selecting a bunch of text inside of a comment and clicking somewhere ...

Re: Delay in context menu

I'd check for any items in ~/Library/Contextual Menu Items, as well as in the main /Library/Contextual Menu Items (at this point, it's probably best to just remove anything you find there), and any text or image based Services that might be called upon when right-clicking. On a clean installation th...

Re: Remove first line indent fails with a Section Layout Prefix in EPub3 compile

I mean to say, it’s a single-use solution, and again, not the best in terms of producing well-formed HTML. What is being described as the problem to be solved—whether paragraph formatting intended for the first paragraph of a section should be applied to content in the suffix, and if not, how best t...

But not if it is an epigraph with an attribution line (two paragraphs)?

Re: Subdocument mystery

The chapters do have synopses. I can see them on the corkboard if I click on the chapter folder icons in the binder, or double-click the chapter folder icons in corkboard (when a Part is selected in the binder). Again though, that could mean other things, and in particular if you double-click on a ...

Re: Weird behavior on Composer mode

No no, my apologies, I was not clear enough before. In your second screenshot you have a photograph. Scrivener cannot blend your photograph with the windows underneath it. The photograph has to be removed to blend. ⋅  Projet/Paramétres du project... ⋅  Click on the “Images d’arri...

Re: Remove first line indent fails with a Section Layout Prefix in EPub3 compile

However, I am suggesting that when a paragraph contains nothing but an image, it could be surrounded by <div> instead of <p> - would that cause any problems? I’d say in terms of best-practices, a div should ideally only be used as a container for multiple related items rather than as a structural a...

Re: Subdocument mystery

I suspect the chapter items themselves do not have any synopses. It would be very simple to figure that out: ⋅  Open the inspector to the Notes tab ( Navigate/Inspect/Notes ). At the top of this pane you’ll see a synopsis card. ⋅  Click to select one of your chapter cards; see an...

Re: Current line highlighting?

That’s not exactly a new condition though, is it? ;) http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum_images/17346669-scriv-line_highlight_comparisons.png Note the box extends from the descender of the previous line to the descender of the current line, vertically. If it were any larger than it would overlap...

Re: Remove first line indent fails with a Section Layout Prefix in EPub3 compile

My line of thinking then would be that it should be using a “heading-flourish” class instead of something generic. It might very well be you’d want that for other reasons as well, to modify the spacing of the box a bit to design the element into the heading and away from the body text for example. I...

Re: Scrivener 3 and KindleGen

I wouldn’t automatically say it is better . It really depends on what you are looking for: ⋅  If you like roughly how things worked in Scrivener 2 and just wished for a few improvements—then do give the regular compile type a try. It has had a number of things improved with it after all, b...
