Re: Mouse back-click in a document for 'History' backstep

All right, yeah I had to set up my Logitech to work with Scrivener (and a few other programs with history as well), by having those two buttons trigger the ⌃[ and ⌃] shortcuts. It either uses some other shortcut internally (maybe Alt← style) or maybe sends the command directly to the browser rather ...

Re: copy paste from web gives dual pictures

I see no issues over here with Vivaldi 2.1.1337.47 (Chromium core), Safari 12.0 and Firefox 63.0.1. I pasted into Scrivener and TextEdit from this forum thread page. There are three images (two without an avatar).

Re: which proofread software works with Scrivener (Mac)?

It is not dedicated to the concept of understanding grammar and attempting to correct you on it, but Marked.app can load a Scrivener project while you are working on it, and display the contents of the Draft as a formatted preview. It has several proofing aids, such as word avoidance lists, repetiti...

Re: Zooming Issue

When you say that after half an hour it started working, does that mean it is still working? You’ve restarted the software since then, and there are no problems? Did other methods of zooming work when the gestures did not? There are no settings for this in Scapple itself. All it does is listen for t...

Re: TOC docx compile issue

Document link conversion is handled by the settings in the Document Title Links compile format pane. Disable the Links use title prefixes only setting in that panel, and if you don’t want the chapter number itself, also disable the Update titles in document links with prefix and suffix settings opti...

Re: Scrivener 3 won't open

⋅  Does that mean the checkbox always causes a crash no matter which project was left open previously? If you open Scrivener, open the Tutorial, turn on “Reopen…” and then quit and restart, does it crash? ⋅  Or this only a problem when loading multiple projects? Again testing wi...

Re: Snapshot with Title shortcut in Mojave

Hmm, yes it looks like for some reason the style shortcut is “covering” the other shortcut—how that is even possible I don’t know, as the Ctrl key should not be simply outright ignored like that. At any rate, you definitely do not need to delete all of your styles. You do not even have to delete the...

Re: Filter in Corkboard/Outliner View not coming up with ⌘F

User settings, system shortcuts and files are not included in the software itself. All you have to do is trash Scrivener from the Applications folder and then drag in a fresh copy downloaded from the website . I’d ordinarily say you should use the App Store if that is where you bought Scrivener from...

Re: Scrivener 2 with Scrivener for Ipad

The iOS version reads both version 2 and 3 project formats. We wouldn't take that out, otherwise nobody on Windows could sync. :)

Re: Customize Sluglines in Scriptwriting?

Indeed, both of those options are a possibility. You’re looking for the Format ▸ Scriptwriting ▸ Script Settings... menu command. Documentation for the panel is found in §19.7, Creating Your Own Script Formats , but you’ll be most interested in §19.7.2, where the Font (bold) and Paragraph (spacing) ...

Re: Scratch Pad App

As noted above, the Scratch Pad is already a file-based program that simply uses a designated folder as a source location for its notes. Hence if that folder is synced, and you have other tools that can connect to that folder, edit its contents and add new notes, then you have everything you need he...

Re: Scrivener 3.1 is going to be incredible!

And in case you are posting topically (this being a thread about the latest Mac version), then there is no need for “support” of iCloud Drive, from Scrivener 3.1 or likely any future version. If you save your project into an area that iCloud syncs, then it will show up on your other Mac, just like t...

Re: Float Quick Reference Panel always grayed out

I was reminded that there is indeed one spot where this command is disabled: if your QR panels are tabbed. There is a bug in macOS where changing the window type on tabbed windows causes the whole tab stack to be disbanded.

Re: Format printout of outliner

If you’d like complete control over the content that is printed out, the compile feature is really the best tool for the job. Given its flexibility, it is well suited to this task, not only that of constructing large documents. Note : if you have invested a lot of time in your current compile settin...

Re: ePub: no more line feeds & strange ToC

That is what I would do as well; see if they have any advice to give. Since the .epub file seems to be working everywhere else, and the HTML itself looks good, there must be some other factor involved. I'd be curious to hear what they have to say. And yes, I think ePub 3 is the right way forward at ...
